[Resolved] Samsung Double Door Fridge — SAMSUNG FRIDGE SUPPLIED WITH DUPLICATE PARTS AND THE SERVICE CENTRES ENCASH IT
I had purchased 290 ltrs double door samsung reftrigerator with model no. SRA 29 EMB from Digital world Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam on 17.9.2003. The problem started with defrost and a complaint was registered with samsung on 26.8.08. The samsung authorised service Engineer from Innovative Electronics, Visakhapatnam has attended to the complaint and noticed that the defrost timer DT-100 seris of make 'MALLORY' is not a genuine part and found defective. The defrost timer was replaced on 12/9/08 against a payment of Rs. 281/- and it was kept under observation. After this, again the fridge gave problem of improper cooling in the month of March 2009. This time the same service Engineer has found the fan motor is burn't and replaced the motor at the cost of Rs. 1084/- after a gap of one month.
Now the fridge again having the problem of insufficient cooling and the Service Engineer has attended and ran away without identifying the problem. Ultimately I got it checked with a private person which revealed that the fan motor which was replaced in March 2009 has again burnt. It is quite evident that the samsung fridge is supplied with duplicate parts (parts are mostly replaced at the dealers show room) and the Service Engineers are replacing them with used parts and run their business at the cost of the customers.
I may be replaced with a new and genuine refrigerator directly from the samsung company.
