[Resolved]  SanDisk microSDHC 16GB (Product Code: SDSDQ-016G-P36M) — Non-replacement of faulty 16GB Microsdhc Card

I had bought one Sandisk Standard Micro SDHC Card 16GB from Velocity Compu System (Address: 25B, Chittaranjan Avenue, Kolkata, West Bengal, India Pin: 700072 Ph.: [protected]) on 10/05/2010. It cost me Rs. 2400/-. The card stopped working on 16/07/2010 i.e., in a little over a month. I gave the card to the store/retailer for replacement/repair on 17/07/2010 as they insisted that it was the only way to go.

Even after more than one month I haven't got the replacement. I've called the store a dozen times and all they are saying is that that they've already sent it to the Sandisk authorized service center and a replacement would not be possible at the moment as there is "NO STOCK". How long am I supposed to wait then? Is there any reason why I should be harassed like this? I don't think I will ever buy another Sandisk product in future!! The product stopped working in a month and service is non-existent! I have to say that Transcend products are much better in comparison and I made a terrible mistake by buying Sandisk.

Also a word of caution to computer shoppers in West Bengal: Avoid Velocity Compu System (Address: 25B, Chittaranjan Avenue, Kolkata, West Bengal, India Pin: 700072 Ph.: [protected]) at all costs. Before you make the buy, they ply you with umpteen promises and assurances of prompt service if something goes wrong. But once the deal is closed and some problem crops up, they are simply not bothered with you. Far from providing any service, they do not even have the common courtesy of returning a call !

I shop kmart all the time. I love your stores, but i encounter a very rude person in your Streetsboro, oh store. I had bought a sd card at another kmart.When i got home Idiscovered it had been opened.I knew i would be in the streetsboro area so I went there to exchange it .So, I told the lady at the service desk I wanted to exchange it for one that wasn't opened.she more or less told my i was a liar.When Isaid that it was opened when i got homeshe said "WELL, HOW DO WE KNOW THIS" .She knew this because i just told her.she was very RUDE in handling the problem.there are a lot of stores i could go to for this product, but i chose kmart.I may think twice before going there again.My husband and i had bought about 200.00 worth of product at the other kmart we were at earlier. I work in customer service every day.I would never think of saying something like that to a customer.Thank you
