When i bought gold coins at Saravana Thanga Maligai,T.Nagar,Chennai in 2011 with 0.5 % wastage. They promised that they would buy with 1 % wastage. When i inquire in the month jan 2012. they said the wastage was increased to 2 %. At last now in the month of April 2012. they are saying 3% wastage will be deducted if i sell the gold coin to them. So they would not stand with their words.When comparing with other jewelers, they deduct 2% wastage when we buy the gold coin and there is no deduction if we sell the gold coin to them. Please think twice before you buy gold coins from saravana Thanga Maligai.
