State Bank of India — Sanction of family pension to my mother

A minimum family pension of Rs.4270/- has been sanctioned to my mother Shmt. N.Lakshmi whose pension acct. No.is [protected] instead of enhanced rate of family pension of Rs.8791/- after a delay of seven months.That too after a prolonged attempt. The staff in the CPPC seems to be not bothered about our problems. I feel that the CPPC is functioning with huge volume of work with insufficient staff. Eventhough it is not our lookout it causes many difficulties to the aged pensioners. In this case the staff did double work by sanctioning minimum pension first and eligibe family pension later. I request kindly to look into this case urgently and sanction the enhanced rate of family pension at the earliest as my mother is 97 years old and to prevent me from approaching Pension Ambudsman.

pension dues — Settlement of pension dues of my late Father

My father was drawing his pension from SBI, Paukhal (code 06733) having PPO No. ID/14074 dated 1.12.1975. His SBI, Paukhal Saving Account No. [protected].

Case pertainng to settlement of his dues on account of 6th Pay Commission has been forwarded to SBI, Pension Branch, Chandni chowk. But no such dues have been settled by SBI. Manager, SBI, Paukhal has stated that it is still pending with Pension branch of SBI, Chandni Chowk.
I request concerned authorities to expedite settlement of his dues alon with Interest thereon.

Service pension — Service pension

Sir, I am discharged from serive on 28-Feb-2005 and want to know as to ahy the Grade Pay and the Military Service Pay is not applicable to the defence personnel who retired/discharged from the services. It is not clear that those who served in the defence for th stipulated periodand opted for the discharge are not given the grade Pay and the MSP as given to the personnel who retired after[protected]. Kindly let us know the rule.

dear sir, i would like to inform you that myself ex subedar krisankant singh drawing pension from sbi main branch begusarai code 0032, vide our acct no [protected].date of retierment is 30/06/2007 vide ppo no s/022431/2007(army).my another corrigendum ppo s/comm/011944/2007(army) came on dec 2007. i had informd and shown to sbi begusarai, but my commutation credited from 27/10/2007 and my pension have been not reduced.i remiend many time to him but he unable to do and says that it was done from patna.atleast my pension was deducted from 25/07/2009. it was from rs12043.00 to rs5435.00. i told him that this is not our mistake and my pension was more deducted. now i received new ppo s/coorr/227589/2009(army) on 06 march2010.i have complained many time but not given my nighther arriers nor pension till date, i have sent photo copies of ppo and my passbook to sbi begusarai and cppc patna by fax and by special corriers also on 15 may 2010.i have complained many time by mail, complain no is cc[protected], cc[protected] and cc[protected]. but till date no any progress done on above matter. kindly do needfull for us and regularised my pension and arriers. we are facing very hardship. please doneedful action at the earliest in your end.please reply same by mail. my mail id is [protected]@yahoo.com and my contect no is [protected].

Subject : Complaint against Discontinuation of Disability Pension

Sir,
With due respect I would like to say that I am a Defence pensioner drawing Service pension @ Rs. 4407 and Disability pension @ Rs. 701 (Total Basic Pension @ Rs. 5108)wef 01 November 1991 from State Bank of India, ADB Saraiya, P.O.-Saraiya Factory, Distt–Muzaffarpur(Bihar), Pin–843126(Code-3001) through a/c no. [protected]. My Service P.P.O. no. is S/035153/91(Army) and Disability P.P.O. no. is D/RA/2085/2003.
My Service pension has been revised @ Rs. 5689 wef 01 Jul 2009 under “ONE RANK ONE PENSION SCHEME” and accordingly arrears has been credited to my aforesaid account on 07 Jun 2010. But while calculating arrears, my disability pension @ Rs. 701 has been ignored resulting discontinuation of the same wef 01 Jul 2009. Since my disability pension has been awarded to me for whole life, I am entitled the same for rest of my life. As a matter of policy, on revision, my BasIc pension (Service pension + disability pension) should not be less than whatever I was getting before revision. When I was drawing Rs.[protected]+701) before revision, how only 4407 has been revised and Rs. 701 has been ignored and discontinued? On revision at least I must be paid the Basic pension @ Rs. 6390 (Revised rate of Service pension Rs. 5689 + old rate of Disability pension @ Rs. 701).
In this connection I have already written to the Manager, SBI, ADB Saraiya on 23 Mar 2010, 10 Jun 2010 and 30 Jun 2010 and to General Manager, State Bank of India, LHO, Judges Court Road, Patna on 30 Jun 2010 by post, 08 July 2010 and 13 Jul 2010 through the helpline(On line) and on 14 Jul 2010 by post. But there is no response from anyone at all in this regard. Such type of negligence and negative attitude of SBI towards pensioners is not acceptable to me. Hence writing to your goodself.
Now, it is well established and confirmed that the blunder has been committed by CPPC Patna while feeding data in computer. While feeding data they have fed my service as “20 Years”, Rank as “Havildar” and Group as “B” which is 100% correct and accordingly my old service pension Rs. 4407 has been revised @ Rs. 5689 wef 01 Jul 2009. But while feeding data in computer CPPC Patna has ignored my Disability Pension @ Rs. 701 resulting its discontinuation wef 01 Jul 2009. On personal contact with CPPC Patna they have asked me to handover PPO of Disability pension which is not possible at all as NO copy of PPO of Disability pension is maintained for the individual. It is only dispatched to concerned bank (SBI, ADB Saraiya). SBI, ADB Saraiya states that all pension papers have been sent to CPPC Patna. It is not understood why CPPC Patna is insisting for PPO of Disability pension from me when they got the original PPO of the same with them. On repeated contact they have totally denied to restore my disability pension wef 01 Jul 2009 stating that there is no provision in the software to enter the Disability pension. There seems contradiction on the statement of CPPC Patna. One side they say to handover the PPO of disability pension and on the other hand they say that there is no provision in software to get it entered. Then how Rs. 701 was being paid to me till 31 May 2010. I think, there is something wrong at CPPC Patna which is required to be rectified.
In view of the above, it is my humble request to your goodself to take remedial action to restore my Disability pension @ Rs. 701 wef 01 July 2009 and credit the arrears accordingly to my aforesaid account.

But so far nothing has been done in the matter. My mother has no other means of income and she is facing very hardship because of this delay. Kindly look into the matter and revert back at the earliest and oblige.

I Binaya Nand Thakur, a retired airman drawing pension from SBI Purnea since Apr, 2010. I received my corrigendum PPO No 08/14/B/CORR/64756/2010 in the month of April, 2010. I approached the branch for crediting arrears and start of new rate of pension. The person dealing the pension cell told me that all papers are despatched to Patna on 18/05/2010 and credit to my acct will be done from there.Again I have submitted verified photo copy of my PPO to SBI, Purnea and they have forwarded to you on 4/1/2011 but so far neither I recd my arrears nor the new rate of pension is started.I approached the branch many times but so far nothing has been done.Please credit the arrears with interest to my acct and start new rate of pension immediately.I should not suffer after serving to the nation for 20 Years and now asking only what is my entitlement.

2. I regret to say that even after lapse of three months, my pension and other due amount have not yet been credited into my account. It is needless to say that after retirement, my family is dependent on pension. Presently, I am badly in need of money due to domestic problems.
3. Due to delay in payment of my dues, I am suffering the following losses:-
(a) Compelled to expend my amount of other retirement benefits for day to day domestic requirement thereby losing the interest which would
have been accrued by depositing the same in FD, had my pension been paid to me on due date ie, 01 Jan 2012.
(b) Losing interest on amount of DCRG and commuted value of pension which was due to be paid on 01 Dec 2011. In case the inrerest
rates are lowered, I shall suffer a further loss due to delay in payment of my dues. For this SBI must pay to me the highest rate of interest
prevailing as on 01 Dec 2011 on the due amount.
4. In view of the above, may I request you to kindly take immediate action to start my pension without further delay, pay the other retirement dues with highest rate of interest prevailing as on 01 Dec 2011.
