seagate GofLEX USB External Storage drive — Worst experience and support from seagate goflex usb ext storage drive

I had purchased Seagate Go flex 500 GB USB External Storage device from one of the shop "computer plaza" in navi mumbai. This device did not work at all ( dead on arrival) . Though it had more than 2 years warranty, the seagate team has updated that i will not get new replacement drive but a seagate certified drive and that too after sending the drive to service center . After quite followup, the shop owner agreed to send the faulty device to the service center. However after more than three weeks, I had contacted the service center and found that the replacement drvice is ready and also confirmed by Seagate. When i had gone to the shopowner he said he has not received it . when i showed the email from seagate, he said he will send his person when he will get time. The worst part is seagate do not have any control on these shopkeepers and do have idea as to from which distributor this shopowner purchased the drive to sell. I had gone to local police center.to complaint against shopowner. I had requested seagate/service center and also shopowner to deliver the drive to me as alreay i have spent more than Rs 1000 /- on travelling to this shopowner till date and he has always in uncompromise mode.
I had purchased the drive on 21st december and today is 29th march. I am still without drive which i purchased. I would strongly advise before buying things to consider these kind of scenario's. Unfortunately seagate does not have any control which is leading to very bad customer service
