[Resolved] seagate sata hard disk — replacement problem in warranty period | |
i have bought a 80 gb hard disk of this company from nehru place( name of the shop is Computer empire) in march 2006 and they told me that it has a warranty period of 4.5 years, recently it stop working properly and i contacted at the service centre of seagate ( which is in ashoka building nehru place) and they told me that it will take around 4-5 days roughly. Along with it they gave me an acknowledgment of receiving the hard disc from me and i also get a sms about the same which has a call id.After 4 days they called me up to say that there is some problem about generating some number from the hart disc and it will take some more days. Finally, after trying thier contact number a lot they picked up the phone and said that my call id has been changed but i can now collect the new hard drive which i later on found defective. My address on the new acknowledgment that i receive has also been changed by them along with the call id. Now they are saying to go through all the replacement procedure again which is very cumbersome and there is no surity that this time it wont happen, as told to me. I have been facing lots of trouble due to their indiffrent and rude attitude and deeply hurted by the kind of pranks they are playing on me. I want to change my hard disk, How it possible i have also searched resistration form for return my hard disk. Please give me reply to how change my hard disk as soon as possible.

my sata desktop hdd 160gb having bad sector

MY hard disk purchase is nehru place in authorised dealer, After is hdd no detect the system is working but hdd is faulty service center is no replace, so I am student plz resove the problem, Hdd is three years warranty, I have pop.Service center told me shorted the hdd and burn out .hdd is fresh.

I have 250 GB hdd with 3 years warranty left
last month i replaced it with accel and i got hdd which even refused to be detected.
i again got replacement for the defective piece yesterday which is again making noise
and refusing to store any data
really dont know what to do with it.
hope u guys can suggest any solution for this

Seagate/ 160 gb sata HDD — No work properly
I have bought a 160 gb hard disk of this company from Mathura( name of the shop is Laxmi Computers) in march 2009. It no work properly . and they told me that it has a warranty period of 4.5 years, and i contacted at the service centre of seagate last day seagate replaced my hard disk. again its not working, its under warranty

i have bought ur company hdd on 06/10/07.the problem of my hdd is that i cannot install any softwares that are copied in my hdd.when the time of installation it shows file corrupted.(in all cases)this complaint always visible in for installation.please send me reason of my hdd as fast as u can

i am facing major problem on my pc.the problem is that if i try to install any software on my pc installation wizard will crash in middile of the process, and if i try to install the same software on any other pc, it works properly.this problem seen many times.i replaced my hdd once due to this problem but the problem is not solved.i need to know that why this problem is coming. is that the problem of hdd.or is that problem any other hardware such as mainboard, processor, ram any thing like that.if i copy any software to my hdd and try to install after someday, the software installation produce an error report and will be closed.please if an imeadiate solution and mail back.do i need to replace the hdd again.i am already in warrenty period.(160 gb sata hdd).

Kindky replace my hdd one as soon as possible.

Dear Sir this is really bad Service for replacement of hard disc,
i gave a 80GB hard disc to service centre which is located on chennai, greems road, Accel front, company contact no[protected]. But 40GB memory space can be utilise another 40GB unable to access. please check my hard disc complaints no details SGTCNN[protected]DW and replay to my email address as early as possible.

how recover my data
i bought seagate hdd on last year now i problem in hdd. the problem is that when cable attached to hdd then monitor display off and bad smell from hdd.
i checked warrantty of hdd from online but it diplay 'out of warranty'.
so, pls help me.

i have bought a seagate hard disk at the shop called GLOBE COMPUTECH near gajuwaka.my hard disk power supply cable pins were melt and two pins of power suupply of hard disk are just disturbed by the melting of the plastic cable.when i took it to the shop they were telling that hard disks which were damaged by burning will have no warranty and you have to buy a new one.but i came to know that my friends have got the same problem and their hard disks were replaced.
another question is that does the hard disk works even if the pins were melt?

my hdd ide s.no.5NF0BB3N purchased on 12 sept. 2009 does not allowed to install windows.I goes to service center and submit on 29th of sept. today on 30th of sept i got a message to inform me that it is o/w and they are denying to solve my probelum.
