Hi,

I took three months membership of seventymm & they suck to the core. I wrote a mail to their CEO he suggested me to use services for a month, if still I am unhappy I'll be given refund of all 3 months.

As they suck to the core, so i asked for my refund! Sent a mail to CEO & till date no reply.

Disgusting staff & god knoes how they running their company!

Seventymm — Distribution of movies that are not suitable for South Asia Region

I had ordered 2 movies 1) Bridget Jones and 2) Alap. The movies were delivered but we could not view Bridget Jones as that had a region problem. I had raised a complain to Seventymm on 19th November but there was no response from them. On 30th November I released those two movies and the next day the seventymm people come up with another two movies without a replcement for Bridget Jones. Hence I told them only once when you deliver a movie as a replacement for Briget Jones will I return these two movies. Till date there is no movie in replacement to Briget Jones and in turn they ask us to get our system serviced from the service center as they cannot resolve the region issue. Are they supposed to rent DVD's which are not supposed to be running in this region?

Seventymm Services Pvt. Ltd. — Refund of security deposit

Hi,

I became member of Seventymm on 18th of June 2007 (membership ID: 40389) and paid Rs. 1747 for Bill ID: 98525. Out of Rs. 1747, Registration fee was Rs. 199, Refundable Security Deposit was Rs. 999 and Monthly Subscription Fee was Rs. 549.

Soon after I started facing a lot of service related problem and despite my repeated requests when no improvement in the services were made I decided to discontinue with the subscription on 19th of November 2007. I made them aware of my decision by writing an email to them and also informed their Customer care.

Since then I am waiting for my refund but despite my repeated requests (both on customer care numbers and via email) to seventymm nothing has been done. Finally I would like to drag them to consumer court for their unethical business practices.

Seventymm — Non-stop Nonsense!

I thot i was d only 1 being tortured by these jackasses who promise to deliver but alwz fail. I got DVDs that went undetected in my computer, VCDs all scrathed never replaced, customer care not bothered to pick up n deliver on time. They just take the registration money but r alwz out of stock when it comes to what u want to watch. Shame on them! I want some action to be taken against them!
I have been a subscriber of seventymm video rental services. The first time I subscribed, I used to receive scratched videos all the time. These DVDs would not play on the DVD player or would stop in the middle, or skip parts of the movie. When I complained to seventymm, they would reply that they had checked the dvds and that it was not their fault that they were not playable. Some of the dvds had so many scratches that they appeared as if they were used as coasters on a dining table. I had no alternative but to cancel my subscription.

After a few months, I received a call from their representative canvassing to enrol me as a subscriber. I recounted my experience as a subscriber but I was assured that following a large number of complaints from several customers, they had installed machinery to remove scratches from dvds and that I would not get any scratched dvds henceforth.

Following his assurances, I subscribed again and I found out, to my dismay, that there was absolutely no change in the quality of their dvds and they were equally if not more scratched than before. I used to record my complaint with the delivery man on his receipt book about the condition of the dvds received and I was given a few replacements in lieu of the damaged dvds.

However, at the end of my subscription in the last week of December 2009, I chose not to renew my subscription and asked for my security deposit to be refunded. I am extremely pained to state here that inspite of reminding them on a weekly basis, I have not yet received my security deposit of Rs 500.00 till the 20th of April 2009. Every time I call, I am treated as if I am asking for the refund of security deposit for the first time and I am assured that the refund would be made to me within a week.

I strongly advise all movie watchers not to subscribe to seventymm and I request other sufferers to recount their experience on this forum so that other movie watchers will not have to suffer.

she said be a 6 member in group and pay for five members.and we do.thats all finish after we take membership.these all happened on dt. 5-9-2008.she told we'll give you one member's fees refund in one week.we are waiting for one week.and now nobody wants to listen.we need justice .my membership no. Seventymm — Horrible Services...Rude Employees

Hello Mr. Kher,
I guess I was one of the first ones to join your seventymm membership when it was launched in Mumbai. I was keeping a track of your services when you had launched it in Bangalore and I was very impressed with it. I then took the membership in 2007. In 2008 I really had a very bad experience with your staff (very impolite) and with the services. They would deliver the DVD and in 2 days would come back waking my mom from her afternoon naps and asking her to give the DVDs back. Secondly, I would get a sms everyday that “our movies are lying with you” which was very absurd as we had not asked for movies.
Disappointed with your services, I stopped calling for movies (it has been over 8 months now) and I just cannot continue my subscription.
Today, since my subscription has expired, your people call up saying which movies you want infact when they mean, “Kindly give us the cheque”.
One person from call centre promises something and then later their manager refuses to fulfill the promise made. This is the issue everytime.

And by the way, your person was more than happy to cancel my subscription. Also, have you seen the number of complaints in the result a page in google…almost everyone is frustrated with the rudeness of your people and of course with your services.

Seventy Mm Services Pvt. Ltd. — deposit not received even after 5 months...

70mm has been cheating me for the last one and half years... I cancelled my subscription on the 23rd of June (sick and tired of their poor service) and have still not received my deposit back after calling and getting confirmation from their side 5 times... If they can do this with a media professional then imagine what housewives and students must be going through.... The apt tagline for them would be "deceit, lies and no videotape!!"

Seventymm — Wrong Claims made to subscribe

I had subscribed to the 3 month subscription from Seventy MM. I had specifically asked them if they will give me a facility to rent more than 1 movie during the same day. They said yes but once the subscription started i realised they made a complete fool of me. I was supposed to place a request a day before. Also i was given a spoilt dvd which i asked to be replaced and i was told new dvd will be sent the next day. again the dvd given next day was not working and i was told i have to wait 1 more day. when i called the customer service i was told first time that since i called at 6.30 and their office closes at 7 i cant get on same day and that I should have called before 4. Next time i call at 3.30 I was told i have to call before 10 am in the morning if i want a dvd on the same day. this is so pathetic. if i get the dvd from them at 9.30 how am i supposed to watch and order for a new one in half an hour? I even sent them a mail about 2 months back, i am still to get a reply
I had an account with seventymm few months back, due to really bad services i closed my account. I renewed my account some 4-5 days back on lofty promises like CDs would be delievred on time, they wont be damaged, random CD instead of the oredered on wont be delivered and I would also get a complimentry set of DVDs.

Ironically, the very first miovie i ordered (Vertical Limit in english) was dellivered but it was in tamil!! I have not even got the so called complimentary set of DVDs. It is that i learnt from my experience earlier also that once the payment is made seventymm cares a damn about its clients. They do not even attend to our phone calls.It is very frustrating. I should ideally report this to the media or sue the comapny. And let me tell you, I am not the only frustrated customers, there are loads of them, even in my office.
completely agree with the comments.. I had ordered Iron Man 1 .. for two weeks .. I had to follow up to no avail. I gave up on the movie.. ordered another one.. Wake up Sid.. the same story.. warehouse nos. dont work mails to CEO bounce back, Support is unable to resolve the issues.

Seventymm — not delivering movies

Dear sir,

I am a member of the movie rental service seventymm which is head quartered in chamarajpet,bangalore.I have enrolled in a scheme of one movie at a time.They will collect the watched movie while giving a new movie to watch.They do not have any record for collected movies from customer.If the guy who collects mess up with logging in procedure for returned movies,the onus is on the customer.The system will show two movies with the customer and citing the reason,they will stop delivering the ordered movies.They collect the money in advance and take customers for a ride.despite several attempts from my part to clear the above said mess,they will assure that everything will be solved immediately.But that never happens.You keep explaining to each and every customer representative in their call centre you sob story for umpteen no of times and the conclude they that theu understand our problem,but cannot do anything about it.

How can we allow such dubious companies to exist and cheat their customers outright citing silly reasons?Kindly notify this issue..
seventymm is the worst consumer co i ve dealt with. they are frauds. they do not refund. their work ehtics are totally zero. when its time for renewal only then they talk otherwise they never reply and do anything to mend the problem. their call centre no. is totally waste for complaints as nothing is done after complaining. i think we should sue this company for harrasing its clients. THEY R THEIVES. BIG TIME. NEVER EVER TAKE THEIR MEMBERSHIP. THEY R VERY VERY BAD. they r very irresponsible.

I am taking 70mm to court. Anyone want to join me? I will pay for the court fee and lawyer. We have a very strong case. 70mm has advertised a number of 1930s (maybe 40s) movies on its website. When you ask for them they send you a new film ...with the same title I wanted to take them to Consumer Court. My lawyer says we should sue them for cheating

I agree with you. Seventy mm is the worst company full of liars and frauds, . even if you write to their CEO, there will be no response. I have not got my money back when they promised that they would refund it at the time of subscription if i dont like it.

Seventymm Services Private Limited. — DELAY IN PROVIDING SERVICE AFTER PAYING SUBSCRIPTION.

I HAD PAID RS.200/- TO SEVENTYMM SERVICES TO TAKE 2 DVD AT A TIME AT RENTAL BASIS FOR VIEWING PURPOSE. BUT TILL DT. I'M NOT ABLE TO BOOKED 2 MOVIES AT A TIME.

I'M DOING FOLLOWUP TO THEM REGARDING THIS ISSUE BUT THEY ASKING ME PAYMENT DETAILS FROM SIDE & AFTER PROVIDING ALL DETAILS TILL YET THEY ARENT UPDATED MY PAYMENT DETAILS & NOT GIVE ME BOOKED 2 MOVIES AT A TIME.

Totally agree. Its sucks. A ponzy scheme- I think the management in co-ordination with the employees are running a parallel business that distributes CD through other route.
