After this one Mr. Ben Cliff supposedly came to Delhi, India to help me with to encash the check. As the calls received were from an Indian number, I thought could be for real.

Then they kept asking me for money in form of fees, I have transfer certain amounts in the bank accounts of Indian people who would give the cash to him and he would pay the fees. I have, however, not received any pymt receipts from him, inspeat of asking.

After 3 fees were paid, amounting to total of 1.25 lac, they asked me for more fees this time for an amount of 2.5 lacs, which I refused, I asked them to pay it on my behalf and I would return it once the cheque clears, which did not happen. Post this they also stopped communicating with me since yesterday.

All I want now is to be re-imbrused the amount that i gave them, nothing else. I have kept the details of account numbers in which I have deposited the money, if needed for any investigation....

Please help.

Shell corporation — Lottery winning

Sir,
I have got a message that my mobile has drawn
5lakh US Dollars in an an ongoing mobile draws
My mobile number is [protected] is it true or false.
Reply soon to my mail.My name is V.Thirumala Rao.
Please do not respond and just erase these type of messages and forget. This is typical Nigerian fraud and your are likely to be asked to pay hefty money to process your prize. have you drawn any lottery ticked? Dont be fool and be carried away. There were similar cases in Pune reported in local newspaper and the niger group from Delhi is tracked by Police.

It is a fake email/sms from a scammer. Google, Yahoo, Rediff etc dont run such lotteries. You can receive such an email/sms named from anyone and you may even get a link to some fake lottery or lucky draw website. But its all a part of the scam to take your credit card number or charge you in some way or force you to send them a payment. Once they receive the payment its impossible to track down. By the way I would suggest you do not use gmail as it keeps all the data from its users though its deleted and it could be used against you anywhere. Be careful where you give out your personal info next time.
