Looks to be pro active response from SONY

It seems Sony Corp. doesn't stand behind their products. I have the Sony DSC-T100, which was purchased in 2007, and it started vibrating and has an inability to properly focus, just like the DSC T20; however, they will not repair the DSC-T100, but will repair the DSC-T20.

As I have been searching the web in regards to the above problem, and have found many others with the DSC-T100 with the same vibration & focus problem.

It's ashame that Sony won't take care of their long term loyal customers. As it stands now, I won't purchase any of their products in the future.

I also purchased the same DSC-W210 model and have the same issue that the LCD Display is not showing the image. Shown at the Sony Service Center at Adayar, Chennai and they are saying the LCD is broken internally. I really dont know how it will happen without breaking the glass which covers the LCD. There is no damage in the camera. But they claim it as a damage and asking approx. 50% of the camera cost to repair it.

Sony/ Digital Camera - W210 — Camera not working

I had purchased the Sony make Digital Camera - Cybershot - W210 in July - 2009 with an assured warranty of 2 yrs. After a visit to moist place the camera stopped working. When I tried to contact the local "Authorised" Sony showroom, they told me that we don't touch the iside parts and it has to be sent to Pune for any kind of services. After keeping patience for around 2 weeks, I received the feedback saying the repair cost would be approx 8000/-. Is LCD costs upto 75 % of the total cost?? Does this doesn't come under warranty???

i want to buy camera sony dsc 210 silver color.

I am totally disappointed with the T100. I've got it for a week now and I just cannot get it to give me clear pictures. I had the T1 before this and I really expected the T100 to be far more superior to any other compact camera available on the market. I've compared it against the latest compact Pentax, and to me the Pentax has got more useable features and is also more user friendly. The pic's from the Pentax look alive with colour and detail. The design and feel of the T100 is excellent and because I had a T1, I decided to go for the T100. My biggest concern with it is that no matter what I try, all pictures look a bit misty. The T100 should give you outstanding night pictures according to all the reviews, but that is even worse. Sony, what went wrong?
