[Resolved]  Sony Ericsson W580i — Motherboard

I bought W580i 15 months back, and now the cell was not starting at all, when I checked out at the Sony Ericsson service center at Vizag, they told me that its Motherboard was damaged.

They told than the motherboard cant be replaced and suggested me to buy a new mobile, its very bad just after the completion of the warrenty motherboard got damaged, and even in the warrenty period i have got many problems and have given my mobile 3 times to the service center for repair.

Isn't there any solution for this, I thought SONY was one of the best in mobiles, but now i got to know that it was one of the WORST both in manufacturing and even in servicing.

Finally I Request Everyone not to buy a Sony Mobile and waste their Valuble Money and Time

Sony Ericsson W580i — can't switch on the mobile w580i

cant switch on the mobile w580i?
when i hearing music in mobile, its suddenly struck off .then i try to come back from the window i couldn't move and switch off. then i took battery from the mobile w580i.after 10 min i insert it in.then i was trying to switch on the mobile but it didn't work.so i cant on the mobile. anybody can tell that why it didn't work.what's a wrong with this mobile.

W580i — Motherboard Problem. Worst Service centres

I purchased the mobile on 1st May 2008 from THE MOBILE STORE. WIthin 4 months of purchase, The motherboard is dead and I have given the mobile to a service center in bangalore named " THE ACCEL FRONTLINE" The service center informed me in the beginning with a component to be replaced. Later on, they informed that the motherboard is the problem. How can i agree to them for the change of the motherboard. I will go to Customer Court for this. I need replacement of the mobile set. Without which I am not accepting.

W580i — bad service @ service centre

I m owner of a cell phone (Sony ericsson) model no W580i and i bought this cell phone on feb of this year... thn it went for a repair on 10th jun and now again today that is 1st oct my handset is dead no response it is not getting switch on that is something i expect from my cell phone...got use to it but it didnt got swich on for 2 days so i went to a service center where i have been before for rectifying the same problem but what was shocking for me was that...the engineer...there came upto me and said that the LCD of your phone is broken {which by the way was not the case at all} i asked him to show me where is it broken ... he showed me but it wasnt visible to me seems it was visible to only him thn i removed the scratch guard and he wasnt able to show me from where the screen of mah cell was broken...thn he said tht there was some paper {which is inside the cell phone...some number or something is written i dont knw abt what he is talkung} and he showed me that area and said you have been to some other place than sony ericsson service center and got your cell repair from there i was so shocked i m the owner of the phone and he is talking abt my cell phone i said yeah i repaired mah cell phone and it was from your center only{why will i go any where else if i got valid warranty period}
thn he said there is some liquid also inside so we cant take this in warranty basis
{again that was not the case...my cell phone got hanged and switch off automatically and it didnt even rained in mumbai since weeks how can water go in}


so in short...i'll tell u the summary...the person was seeking for money...nothing else
and seriously i have faced loads of problems wid this cell phone...i really liked it when i bought it was diff thn others but now i feel normal phones are better atleast i have to not run again n again to service center and loose all my data everytime

i would request sony ericsson people to make better cell phones and if you are making cell phones which will create problems atleast hire some good people to provide me good service

SONY ERICSSION/w580i — LOW PERFORMANCE OF PRODUCT

Life cycle of my mobile is as mentioned below:
Purchased on 14 September 2008.. after 1 month mobile was dead and motherboard replace..after 2 months again mobile was dead and mother board replace. Finally on 24th Feb 2009 I submitted my mobile with complaint of low bettery back and on 30th March, 2009 my mob was replaced. But the replaced mobile was old and sony ericssion was not ready accept the fact. Inspite accepting fact they have misbehaved with me. In April I was transferred to Indore, hence I went ot Indore service station for service but they refused with statement "You have not collect swipe card from old service centre which is in Jabalpur". My question is it is whose responsibily to give me swipe card..Jabalpur service centre is authorised service centre of Sony..why they have not given me swipe??? I spend some Rs. 1500/- and collected swipe card from Jabalpur. Jabalpur service station provided swipe card on 13 Sep 2009. 1 day later on 15 Sep I went to Inodre service station with swipe card, they again refused with reason your warranty is over. My 100M$ question is my mob had spent more than 2 months in your service station and for 1 day delay you are not giving service to me. All these has clearly indicated me that Sony is a fraud company and their entire setup is made to cheat customers. This is my final request and if not solved within 10 days I will go to consumer court

sony ericsson/mobile handset- w580i — warranty/bad servicing & bad service center

My name is suyog kuldeep shrivastava. i have purchased a mobile handset sonyericsson w580i from the mall outlet in mumbai in the 12 months warranty my handset atleast 8 months was for servicing. during my handset warrnnty periodthree times the mother board of the set has changed.which had taken months of period the warranty of the handset finshed even once i got my handset back from the service center after the expiary of the warranty
Befrore expiary the warranty of my handset i told to that service center manager thet pls get change my handset but he clearly denied & told me its not possible but it was possible at that time he told me if there will be anyother problem occurs he will sortout. but now he has setdown their servce center. & the expiary date of warranty is over.
when i go to the other authorised service center of sonyericssson on RNT MARG INDORE The service center manager told me that its a water damage but it was not & wants 1700 Rs. again i have taken my handset to another authorised service center name accel frontline in sunrise tower M.G. road opposite T.I. Indore (M.P.) he told me that set is ok only software problem is only there but there is a problem in camera & demands for 1300 Rs. but there is no problems in camera also took back. the set from there.
but again my handset creating a problem now wht i do.

Note:-
1. on first service center she demnded 1700Rs. while the problem waas not there.
2. on second service center he demanded 1300Rs. again there is no problem in my set.

my mean the service center not providing their actual service they making fake problems to the custamer & charged illegal money. if a person is not so aware they making them foolish & charged money.
i m fedup with sony ericsson brand & their service bcoz i also did complaints ti their own service center but they didn't resonse. so i need ur favour to take action against this brand for inferior quality of product & service & also their fraud cheater service center.
I came to know about u recently through my one of friend so i m taking the action & wants ur help i have my all evidence servicinig.

Sonyerisson phones are one of the best phones available in the world.
How sonyericsson or its service provider is held responsible If board got damaged.
It is because the negligent of the user the board might have got damaged.
It is one of the worst mobile in Sony products I bought sony w580i for 10, 800 last year now i was not able to switch on when i went to sony ericssion they motherboard is gone can't be repaired is really stupid service, after spending so much money and it worked for only 1 yr and months mean time most of the time it gets overheat while listening to songs and freezes
never and ever buy sony products in my life .Nokia is best
I have the same problem, motherboard died just after warranty is over, the repair cost has been quoted for more than Rs 6000. Does Sony have any policy towards such bad products. I feel Toyota and Honda are doing recall of their cars to fix problem, Sony is aware the problems it phone are having and is not taking any actions, always leaving to the consumer to suffer and pay.
My W580 i's motherboard is dead & at service centre they are telling me Rs.4000 for changing it. I think Sony mobile is good in performance very bad in maintenance & also repairing is too costly and service centres are worst.
yes i do agree with the comments of my friends, about the serivce of sony erricson with regards to service and mother board. there is a regular problem with the mother board and the standard reply is that we have to either go for nearly 6000/- repair or buy a new one... very unfortunate ...even i suggest NOKIA is the best...
