had visited spaghetti kitchen in Powai last nite. 1st floor, ventura B wing, central avenue, hiranandani powai.
whilst having dinner, ordered for a bottled water as had a foreign friend with us. when receiving the bill, was stunned and shocked to see Rs 95/ charged for a normal regular 1 litre waer which is priced at 12/ or 15 maximum. added to that a service charge of 10% which makes the price of the water bottle at 104 rs +. upon enquiring with the restaiurant manager Vikas Vijayan, that this is against the law to overcharge for a bottled water, he said all the chain restaurants of the group charge this price only and no other option than paying it off. I remember giving a complaint when the restauarant first started in powai when they charged 80 rs for a bottled water which has gone up by 15 rs in a month s time. The point here is not the 100 Rs, but ripping off the customer and charging almost a beer s price or a fresh juice s price for a normal water bottle is highly unacceptable.
