[Resolved] Spice Mobile Phones — IMEI number | |
What is this IMEI? I guess its just to stop unbranded mobile phones. But, I have a SPice. I kept getting a message from airtel that "if i have an invalid IMEI number, no sim card would work" on my handset. So, I submitted my phone's IMEI number to 121. I got a reply TWICE that my IMEI number is valid. Yet, on 1st November, my "sim card registration failed". Now, I have been advised to go to an airtel shop to get it rechecked. My set was purchased from a Reliance store. If the telecom dept. must make such ad hoc rules, why dont they do their homework first, instead of harassing bona fide customers? If at all this rule is to stop antisocial activities, it is like yet another shot in the dark. Will a cell phone, even less an IMEI number, hinder the activities of someone who is bent on it? Now, airtel blames the telecom dept., the telecom ppl blame the handset manufacturers, who in turn blame the government who blame antisocial elements , while users suffer. To top it all, this mobile usage has become itself a social nuisance. They add insult to injury and yet again say 'walk and talk' - now, someone will blame road accidents on this slogan! Are ppl supposed to concentrate on their work, or spend their time with such frivolities? I am going to stop using a mobile. Was this information helpful? | |

I had purchased a handset QT-55 spice from home shop -18 through on line booking and same product received on cash payment Rs. 1999/- by blue Durt courier on 06/03/2011 vide order no.[protected] dtd. 27/02/2011 but I am facing many problems (i.e hanging/ automatic switch off and software gone) after used 2 or 3 days . The above product many times got repaired from Aim Telecom service centre office No. -2, 1st Floor, H-11, South Ext., part-1, New Delhi 110049, mob. no. [protected]/2 .
