I have got an offer letter from Stenmar Group Limited. How can I check the authentecity of this Offer Letter.

I, Eldose paul, registered my RESUME in monster.com .few days back i got an email from Stenmar Group Aberdeen.saying that i have got selected as Chiefmaintanence Engineer in stenmar group.
They sent me a copy of the contract letter and visa application form and requested me to send a copy of my passport, passport size photograph. After sending this the informed me that igot work permit and next step is to open an account in NATIONWIDEBANK PLC UK. but when i searched about the bank and the company it seems to be an internet fraud .please help me regarding this matter

EXECUTIVE SUMMARYs

We have in file, your Resume, Job Application and other important data. After the evaluation of these documents, we found you qualified to work with our Team Hence, STENMAR GROUP LTD. Seek to employ your services as an expatriate consultant for the provision of expatriate services as stipulated in the following acts in this document. This document embodies the approved Terms for the purpose of this contract.

1.0 JOB TITLE/UNIT

G M.

CONTRACT DURATION: 24 MONTHS, (Renewable)

2.0 SCOPE OF WORK SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Appropriate monitoring/coordination services, planning and implementation, development, execution, responsible for the approval and purchases as shall be deemed necessary for job success.

Also include services related to project control system, services related to process.

You shall also be expected to meet/liaise with the entire management board of STENMAR GROUP LTD For overview and updates bi-monthly.

3.0 CONSULTING PERSONNEL

You shall be expected to work lead a team of prime experienced project personnel’s with the mandate to provide excellent services.



4.0 JOB LOCATION: ABERDEEN -UK



5.0 MONTHLT SALARY INDICATION

You will be eligible to receive GBP 5, 500 (Five Thousand Five Hundred Pounds) –Basic (After tax) Monthly.

6.0 RESUMPTION DATE: 28th of JULY 2009

Salary can be transferred to any Bank designated by you and this must be in conformity with the present tax situation of the Country.

Work time shall be 40 hours work week for the (24) month contract term as such employee shall also be entitled to over-time allowance if employee work time exceeds the official stipulated hours. Salary shall also be liable to increments with time and employees' official promotions and position in service.

7.0 ALLOWANCES/ ENTITLEMENTS

Hazard/Inconveniences: GBP 360.00 (Monthly)

Car Maintenance: GBP 5 89.00 (Monthly)

Entertainment & Recreation: GPB275.00 (Monthly)

Travel & Events: GBP 650.00 (Monthly)

8.0 GRANTS & LOANS

Old Hem Housing Loan: 1-year service to STENMAR GROUP LTD.

Is required for eligibility.
Starter’s amount will be GBP 27, 971.00
Can be re-paid within 10years with GBP 0.00 interest.

Lieu Car Loan: All Employees are eligible to apply.
Starter’s amount will be GBP 22, 045.00
Can be re-paid within 5years with GBP 0.00 interest.

New Orleans Business Loans: All Employees are eligible to apply.
Starter’s amount will be G GBP 15, 000.00 to GBP 30, 000.00

9.0 PAID LEAVE PERIOD/ TRAVEL

All Employees are entitled to 2months Paid Leave which can be taken once at a time or 2weeks apart one different period.

All Employees will receive GBP 2, 880.00 Take home for each leave Period.

Employer for each Inter-continental trip shall be paid GBP 1, 520.00 flat rate travel/entertainment allowance to employee. Travel shall be by business class/first class flight, or otherwise if necessary.



However for the purpose of commencement, the cost of travel ticket shall be paid in addition to travel/entertainment allowance.


Cost shall be substantiated and shall be the rate charged at the Period/time of purchase.

Employer shall also take care of employees' travel ticket including that of employees' family only on employees' early notification to employer and as shall be requested by employee.


10.0 UPFRONT PAYMENT OF SALARY

Four (4) Month salary shall be paid in advance before Candidates embark on journey to assume duty. This is to enable candidates settle all domestic needs before travel. As such no excuses will be entertained on assumption of duty relating to default.

Employees (Expatriates) are to note that Four (4) Month salary are paid as soon as Employee have furnish us with the signed acceptance copy of the contract package, a scan copy of his/her International Passport and 2 Passport Photograph for the immediate processing, procurement and acquisition of your necessary permits clearance papers as this is in line with the Uk Expatriate Financial Statutory Laws.

All payment of Salary after assumption of duty in UK shall be 75% paid into an offshore account to be provided by employee with the remaining 25% paid locally in UK, if accepted by the employee.


11.0 BENEFITS/ACCOMODATION

All Employees are expected to reside at the Company’s Staff estate.

There are 3 Bedroom Flat Duplex.

Toyota Camry 2007 Model Brand New, for employees use during contract.


12.0 SAFETY & SECURITY

Safety and Security of personnel (Local/Foreign) and Facilities on Job Locations and communities are no small issues, and have been seriously considered to ensure and assure hitch free operations.

All operations on Job Location are designed to adhere strictly to the Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy as applicable in the Oil and Gas Sector.

All expatriates are entitled to a free and mandatory safety courses on Job Locations to be delivered by qualified safety and environment experts.

But must be used in accordance with the safety regulations on Job Locations.

13.0 DOCUMENTS PROCESSING WORK/RESIDENCE PERMIT VISA.

Any employee successfully screened and recruited to resume employment at STENMAR GROUP LTD (And not presently possessing a valid UK Residence and Work Permits Clearance Papers) Shall be expected to Scan and send to us via E-mail a copy of his/her International Passport and 2 Passport Photograph for the immediate processing, procurement and acquisition of their necessary permits clearance papers with the UK HOME OFFICE and shall be duly notified once their valid UK Residence and Work Permits Clearance Papers are completed



Note that all United Kingdom based employees' are to report personally to our office with identification materials for signing and collection of hard copy of their contract documents.
This is in line with the expatriate statuary law of the UK in compliance with the UK. Terrorism Act.

I got the same too.Infact my fiancee insisted that we must travel together, after much jubiliation i was asked to pay 790GBP, Pls do not fall victim, ask them to refer u to the uk embassy in your country and not to pay to the Ghanian mensah through western union.

I also get this kind of offer letter, n I personally feel that this co. is a complete fraud, coz my cousin staying in Aberdeen and he confirms the address, the address mentioned in the offer letter is ryt, but there is no such co. exist there.
