Sanjay claimed the software modules were delivered to the firm in July after which one current cheque of Rs 50,00,000 was issued and was later encashed by his firm, Wallunj said. At the same time, seven post-dated cheques dating from September 1, 2010 to December 1, 2011 collectively valued at 3.03 crore were issued, the officer said quoting the complainant. "But when Sanjay went to encash the cheques, he was told that the clearance of cheques was stopped by Starlight company," Wallunj said. When Sanjay contacted, the Starlight firm management told him that it was yet to receive the software products he had promised, Wallunj added. Subsequently, Sanjay complained at the police station in the last week of September, the official said adding after conducting an inquiry, the FIR was registered against the six last night. They were investigating the claims made by Sanjay, the officer said adding further probe was on.
