Dear Sir,

Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, Kumbakonam & Tamil Nadu State Express Transport Corporation operates buses between Chennai to Kumbakonam, as there is only one train at present and more people depend on buses,

Even if we want to get down in a short distance they charge full fare, ie., till the last point

They do not stop buses in bus stands / bus stations where it is safe and economical for passengers.

They stop the buses at a private hotel near Vikravandi, where there is no safety for passengers, as it is a private remote place all products are sold atleast 30% higher than the MRP.

Also with Un-hygineic Toilets.

Request to take necessary action.

Hi every body,

Do you thing the corporation will take action in this regards. Other state transport corporations have the approved hotel for the passanger to halt. And the food quality and price is reasonable and safe. But no Tamil Nadu government bus halt in quality hotel.

Also the other state like Karnataka have the online reservation system, but the SETC, we need to go and stand in the counter for hour to book the ticket.

This state transport will never imporve their service

Day before yesterday (evening 6.30) i was came from tirupur to coimbatore that time rain falling heavily. maximum all the part of the bus leakage water through the passenger.so i request you to kindly repair all damage buses give me good service to passengers.

Iam disagree about the setc transport
they didn't put the TV or they saying that sleep, there is no correct departure,
and conductors or not user friendly,
mobile charges does not working
fans also doesn't working there is no proper stopping for food
Dear officers,
My native place is kovilpatti. Past 3 years i am working in chennai. once in 2 months i am travelling to y native. That distance from chennai to kovilpatti is not more than 580 kms. But the drivers are taking 14 hours to 18 hours normally.I faced this problem so many times. You are not doing the service freely. Even though it i s a government bus we are paying the money equal as like as private. Please improve the service and facilities of the bus.

I travelled from theni to chennai by ultra dulux bus where they charge full amount and TV is not provided and the seats are full of bugs.
The transportation incharges can take of the maintainace in proper interval
like
proper seat adjustment facility
bugs in seat(constant wash would help)
TV


Also it would be good if provided with online booking facility

Last week i travelled from Ernakulam to Vellankanni (6.30 pm) for about 13 hours travell, the seat is full of bedbugs. The bus was not cleaned properly. After getdown from the bus, due to bedbugs bytes my two hands full of allergies. I undergone treatement for two days. I request the authorities to take necessary action about it.

I 100% agree with the above comments. Now a days, we cant travel in any of the SETC buses (any type). Full of bugs, couln't sleep at all. Last time, when i travelled from chennai to bangalore, they arranged only one for both 9:30 and 9:45 time eventhough the seats were reserved. Two two people are having a tickets for a sinlge seat. People were seated first come first served basis. No resposible answers from the conductors or drivers. Sometimes, we cant blame D&C for bugs or no proper buses. The responsible person should take action, ...we dont know in which bus, he/she is travelling with their FAMILY.
No online reservation maintanence, no bus maintanence, ...so on. If anybody asked suggestions about our SETC, i can recommend other than SETC (its better to avoid bad comments from other state people). If SETC take actions on this, public is ready to cooperate (cooperating with other state buses and travels)...agree?
dear sir! i travelled SETC (route no 324 AC) ac bus from nagapattinam to chennai on 9th april. we booked the ticket 4 days before and our timing was 9.35. we reach nagai bus stand at 8.45. we are waiting waiting and waiting. but no result. we asked to counter, the officer told irresponsible answer. at some of moments the counter office locked the office and gone away. we couple of people got upset of SETC. and lot of ladies and childrens were waited so many times. we waited morer than 3 hour and finally a bus came, and conductor told that that bus go to velankanni and ll come in half hour. that time was 11.50pm. but some of people got in the bus rest of wait at nagai bust stant (there is no proper seat facility too). finally bus reach next day 00.30 am. but we shocked. there is no seat allotment in the bus. we faced lot of problem over there and not satisfy with govt. SETC. this complaint will meet you for take neccesary action. thanks.
The so called Ultra Deluxe services by both SETC and the remaining state run TNSTC are really in pathetic situation. Recently i came across a media report that, due to summer holidays both the corporations (SETC and TNSTC) are doing well with some good profits, but still they dont have proper maintenance and service. Last week i came to Bangalore in SETC form Chennai. Due to more crowd, they made an " so called " special bus. The token were given by alloting seats on first come first serve basis and as usual alloting same seat for two persons !! and even we were not informed about the time of departure or the platform number... but anyways managed to get into the " special " bus... and as usual bedbugs, no tv, no fan, poorly maintained window shutters and since it was raining it was like riding in an open bus... anyways they charged the same 240rs for tat... so its the same story in all the routes operated by SETC and TNSTC and they also have the " stupid " AC buses that have no proper control over the air-conditioning... when seeing these types of service from government, its hard to imagine why they are not providing good service and maintainance inspite of profits ???????? only the top level people knows !!!
i just travelled from salem railway station to salem bus stand in bus no TN;0653. at 25.05.09 at morning 1 am . The conductor behaviour was not good. because in the early morning he feel sleepy. so he was shouting to all the passengers. all the peoples in the bus got irrated because of the conductor. and also one of the passenger felt down from the bus. the conductor doesnt stop the bus.so i kindly request you to put a good conductor at night shift.

Hi Every One, First of all I really don’t know whether this message will be read by concerned officer and takes necessary action. If he/she takes the action well and good .thanks for SETC Maintenance and Admin officers. The SETC officers may ignore when me meet them and raise the complain personally. I don’t know how this forum works. Whether it will reach the concerned department?

Even conductors and drivers are saying the there is no maintains for the busses and not like KSRTC.
Reason: in KSRTC or other private bus. The same conductor/driver will be driving the same bus for at least one/two months. So he is responsible for that bus.
If we take SETC or TN long distance busses for 1 day one driver will be put up and for next day some one.. So he won’t care and no complain he will make for the admin.
Because for that one day why he complains? This statement given by SETC driver .when I asked about the reason for not maintaining the buses. Some times there are no proper brakes!!! 
Coming to the point:

• No calls are picked up for the enquiry
• In SETC office please put up some youngsters like other private busses and Govt. I have seen all are old people issue tickets
• No Maintenance of Seats, no seat covers and also not washed.
• Bugs Bugs!! In the seats.
• No proper windows. All of the windows are dancing.
• Think about in rainy season.
• Please ONLINE Reservation tickets . Every Govt has improved their transport. Who is the transport autority for Tamil Nadu. Please provide for the SETC
• Please maintain the Air bags for the Air bus and A/c otherwise it will not be any use.

Better we need to raise all this in few of the TV channels like, NTDV and other private channels. Just copy all the complainants and issue them .I guess they will take care. All Tamil Nadu State Express Transport Corporation complaints
hi myself got bored in giving complaints on SETC "luxurious" busses..coz this is no use no 1 is responding for wat v complaint on...
on 29th of may i am travelling with my family from madurai to chennai in setc 137 ud at 19.15 . the seat in the bus was not working to push theseat back to sleep. i told the the conductor but he did not take care of them. please take action to rectify the reproaur

i travelled in setc bus which is from chennai to tirunelveli .
i travelled from sattur to tirunelveli the conductor charged Rs70. i have already travelled in such type of bus but the maximum charge is only 50. he collect extra 20Rs. i asked him but he says this is yhe new fare.
I don't understand why our gvmt not yet initialize the online ticket booking, bcaz i don't think it will affect the non internet users. so that please try to initiate this option as soon as possible and take TNSTC to next step

dear sir/madam

i am selva, every month i traveling in bus chennai to kovilpatti and some other area, so i want online ticket reservation in SETC Bus.
I am sridhar working as a Engineer in private organisation CHENNAI, daily i am coming from kalapkkam to chennai.

On 17/08/2009 at 7.30am I catched the SETC(UD) bus at Kalpakkam and get ticket for Thiruvanmyur. The actual charge is Rs.35, i gave Rs.40 to the conductor. He gave only Ticket but he didn't return my balance of Rs.5. I Asked it for many times but he didn't respond properly, at last i was get down at thiruvanmyur and asking my balance to him he didn't give my balance at that time also he simply saying no change (but he is having the change), and given signal to the driver to start the bus. As a passanger I unsatisfied due to this incident please take necessary steps to avoid these kind of incident in future.

after i got the ticket many passangers given change to conductor for getting ticket, that time i asked my balance but he is not respond .
