[Resolved] Tata DoCoMo 3G — Pathetic internet speed on 3G | |||
I have been using DOCOMO services now for over an year. Everything was fine until their launch of 3G service. They launched free trial of 3G services for 7 days and things really did seem to be what they had promised with respect to Internet speeds. I was getting a fairly good speed of 1.3-1.7 mbps in the free trial period. Once the free trial period got over, all the hype surrounding 3G deflated. Their speeds dropped back to 2G (100 kbps to 120 kbps). I called customer care service several times a day for 10 days. Every time, they told me its problem with my handset or it is due to congestion. Note: Speeds remained the same throughout the day and night, no change. I even spoke to their supervisors telling them about my plight with Internet speed being very slow, as I work from home and Internet is my back bone without which I would be out of work. They promised it would be resolved within 24 hours (their standard dialogue), but nothing seemed to happen. I even disconnected my previous net connection during the trial period coz it was good enough then but now I regret doing so. I really do not understand what the problems is, coz nobody is telling the exact reason for Internet speed going down to such pathetic low levels. I am not asking for 21 mbps as their sms advertisement claims. All I need is a modest 1 mbps speed. Any help with regards to this is greatly appreciated. Worst internet 3g connection ever.. Believe it or not. I have waited for 5 min just to open this page !!... I am getting unimaginable internet speed of average 20kb/s download speed for 3G connection. I gave a customer complaint which is not even resolved in 24 hours. I am a new customer and very disappointed with docomo service..
Dont buy Tata Docomo Data Card at all . worst speed and pathetic service. actually we took 650 plan but bill has come around 2000 change. very cheating .dont go for Tata docomo data card at all.
Tata Docomo is a bull service provider I have ever seen. In my life I have not seen such a nonsense service provide. All the customer care representatives are just stupid fellows who behave customers like anything. I hate this service provide. They are really cheater who cheat simple people
I had Tata Photon 2g device. Because of low speed issue i have took Tata Photon 3g connection reently. The new connection is not giving me the 2g speed also. Its will give the fluctuated speed any way. Some times you will get download speed as 0.00 Kbps. Then you stuck with your work. Re-connect it and...the same after few mins.
Customer care is not taking any proper resolution against this. They will send the Technical engineer to your home, he will write and call slip and give it you. Finally you will receive a call from customer care saying that, your area is peak usage area. And you have already consumed the free usage etc.. They will close the request asap.

This is Deepak Makwana from Ahmadabad Gujarat. I purchased Tata Photon with a hope to get a good speed when I am not in my office but to my horror it was the most pathetic service provider I have ever experienced in my life. The speed is horrible 0.01 kbps when I checked with speedtest.net.in, It took 7 minutes to open the page of speed net!!! More over whenever I complained they said Sir we have problem in your area due to network conjunction. I called every 3rd day and said I am now operating from different area but they still said Sir we have problem in that area. Likewise I changed the 11 areas and every time the same answer that we have issue in that area. This people have spoiled the name of Tata trust. I have asked when the problem will be solved. They said we can’t tell you any time line!!! This I am facing for the last 4 months and I asked why do you charge the full bill when the problem is at your end? There was no answer to the question. I highly recommend not subscribing Tata Photon at all.

I have been tata docomo customer for 6 month and their 3 g speed was good when i was their new customer but from last 3 to 4 week my Internet speed is very slow speed is only 100kbps. i would advice everybody please do not buy tata docomo Internet plans..it sucks...
