TATA Indicom Photon Plus — Internet service deactivated without any notice and no response from customer care | |
Hi I am Photon+ user and my account no is[protected] , the telephone no is [protected]. I have recently taken the Photon+ connection. The speed is very good ,but bad part is that, these guys don't have any customer care. If you call to their no they will be just forwarding your calls and no body knows who is the person incharge. The problem started on 2nd of Sept , when my connection was deactivated without any notice. I came to know about the deactivation when I called up customercare. I was not feeling well on that day still I went to the nearby Tata Indicom [Sai Teja communictaions,Chanda Nagar] shop and given the verification documents as requested by the customer care. The shop fellow also told that the connection will be restored in 30 min, but nothing has been done till now. When I tried to log a complaint through site , the site was not accepting my complaint. I've put one 4gb micro sd card in the requisite slot within the photon plus modem.this card is not recognized by my computers, though this card is working normally with mobile phones.do i need to perform some steps with setup?

Dear Arunabha, if you haven't read the Tata Indicom Photon Plus specifications, you might want to. It says there quite clearly it supports only upto 2GB Micro SD cards. Not sure why, but that might be the most likely reason. Try getting a card within that limit or just ask a friend for one and try it out. Even then if it does not work try giving a complaint to Tata as the device itself might have a problem. Try customer care. Not sure how god customer care is though.

I got a Photon Plus connection this August. The offer was that the initial month bill would be waived off. However, it was only when i was not able to get connected that i realised that my connection had been terminated for non payment of bill (Y on earth was i supposed to pay the bill..?) I called up the customer care but kept waiting to get connected to an executive for almost 15 mins.. It was a disgusting experience since i did not get a feeling that anybody was concerned. I then drove down to the nearest Tata Indicom shop. Luckily, they got me connected to an executive. I explained the problem and they said they had taken a request. Its now 3 days past and i am still disconnected for no fault of mine. I however plan to take up this matter in the consumer court if i dont get the issue resolved in a day's time.

Photon+ — Photon+ Deactivate without any reason
This complaint is regarding Photon+, that we bought this product on 7 March 2010, & till now we are unable to use that product and also today i have gone for the demo at customer site, but photon+ is unable to work, due to that, our order for Rs.10 Lakh has been cancelled, and now when i called to confirm that why this is product is not working, they said that your mobile bill has not been paid by your side, then i checked my due date fir bill pay, it was 28 Mar 2010, then how is it possible to de-activate my photon+ and as per my knowledge there is no link-up between Mobile Bill & Photon+, i am the representative of the Meridian Telesoft Ltd.Branch Manager North India

i am not able to work on with the 2 gb micro sd cards. it was given that we can store upto 2 gb data on the photon usb. but i am not able to do so. please try to help me out.
TATA Indicom Photon + — Deactivation
Please note that my tata indicom photon number is - [protected]Subscribed under corporate scheme - IBM for [protected]@850 Plan.
Then on 15.10.2010 I upgraded to [protected]@1500 Plan.
But my Credit limit did not increased and my service was all of a sudden stopped, saying that I need to pay an interim amount(which is more than my expected bill amount), only then they will resume my service.
Why did they not increased my C.Limit when I upgraded. And why all of a sudden and why this black mailing??
I advise all IBMer please do not go for Tata Photon plus. they will make your life miserable.
