[Resolved]  Tata Photon Plus — Speed of internet is very slow

Tata photon+ is none other than a stupid useless device. It's combined with all stuffs. In their ad, they said download speed o[censored]p to 3.1 mbps but i never even got 100 Kbps. May be they made a mistake while printing in this device cover, which should be 3.1Kbps instead of 3.1 Mbps. My region has a good signal strength sometimes i got 100% signal but the speed never reach 100 Kbps.


Never go for this device.

TATA PHOTON Mobile Broadband — very slow speed in internet in my laptop

I have recently purchased the TATA Photon mobile broadband for internet purpose in my laptop , Its speed is faster than other but its speed is very slow

damn bored with its turtle walk.My dream to download big big games and movies destroyed. I spent this much money to get speed and reliability.but this photon is just a fake.Never experience speed more than 80kps.i want at least 800kpps cuz tata given very costly plan and only very few hours are free in which i have to download everything but it took half an hour to download mozilla only . huh!! You people just broke my dream.First signal dont come on my area(grrrrr!!!) second when go to other place it show good signal but speed like turtle walk.u never can win doing like this. i dont know weather airtel has any device launchedor not.i'll bin this photon and will spend my valuable money on airtel device if it comes.Airtel is the king of all other services.

they are cheating they said i will get maximum speed upto 5gb in Rs950 plan but i didnt get highspeed even for 100mb, sometimes its deadslow that i cant even chat online or open some applications. hope they see this

Tata Photon Plus — Speed is very worst

I am using the tata photon plus no is [protected]. i bought it in Feb, 2010.
From last 2 to 3 months speed is so worst i have complaint about this to customer care so many times
but every time executive comes and takes the parameter but problem is not resolved till now.
once a executive called me that we have to set up a antina for resolving this problem but no response .
every day i raised a request but at last i can say services are not good

Tata Photon Plus — speed of net is like tortoise

Service of Photon plus is not as TATA Offered.Service of Tata Photon plus is like another services and product tata is providing.

TATA ka naam bada hai darshan chote.Jaise car bhi tata ki kabhi nahi kharidni chahiye aise hi Netspeed of reliance is far better than tata. So dont go for any seirvice and product of TATA.

Customer service is very poor ,and techinician doesn't know any thing,RATAN TATA ko bahut pehle hi retirment lelena chahiye tha,kam se kam TATA ka naam to kharab nahi hota.

Tata Photon Plus — Worst Service and not not getting proper reply

I have taken Tata Photon plus broadband connection. It is not giving the speed as expected and in b/w barred the connection due to not receiving the welcome call. Already first month bill got generated. I am planning to surrendered the connection. How i can get the paid amount. The service is worst.

I too agree. We should file a legal complaint on this company

Tata Photon+ — speed of the device

i bought a photon+ around 10 days back.... in the time of purchase they said the download speed of the device is 1.8 mbps. but i get only 10-20 kbps. it is very worst and frustating...........

i thought photon plus is the best and now after a worst experience i found its the worst... damn its dead slow... 0.00kbps to 10.0kbps... what a damn pain is dis... i feel rather using this stupid photon plus i can go for some other wireless networks... never ever choose this idiotic device... before we bye they assure for good speed and once we bought it and used it, they wont even look back though we give complaint... damn never buy and trust this photon plus... it just sucks... i feel they are cheating us by selling a worst product (photon plus)...
the name and the device doesn't match at all... funny the add oh god please don't believe that stupid add in the t.v. for photon plus... it's just like cheating us... these people when we give complaint that very rarely they respond and make the speed to be good for first few days later ah the same old story starts ... ah enough i had a horrible time with this photon... guys please make people aware of this stupid photon plus and make sure that they wont waist there money like us... save them from this...

mostly nowadays there will be 100% signals but 0.00kbps... what a is this... i will be really happy if these photon plus people really see through these problems and solve them and make there customers happy... otherwise its the fact they have to close up this... i found 90% of people who got photon plus are having a horrible time...

Tata Photon Plus — Snail

I bought this Tata Photon plus after I was impressed by their ad on the TV. Initially I was planning to get a broadband but I thought this was a good alternative to broadband as I have to travel a lot. The speed is like dial-up. I also have reliance broadband which is much better than this snail.

Im using this device from last 2 months & experiencing that same speed of 100 kps & downloading 10 kbps ( maximun speed which i get ) . i have register several complaints but nothing had happened, always get same response, Mr. Vidyajit was very right abt the speed that it should be 1.5 Kbps not 1.5 Mbps, tata is such a flop connection in every thing from mobile to net..the company ever...//
althougn my signals are always 100% but speed is same a max . of 100 Kbps .Such a big flop, stupid, damn device i'v experienced ever...

Phton plus si ridiculous, do not take, if you wanted to take and no option, ask them to show the speed, spped is very slow.

I went for a TIME BASED plan thinking that they will provide me gud speed as I will use onl 4 hours a day!but HELL NO!sometimes the speed is so bad that even speedtest.net refuses to load...sometimes gmail takes 3-5 minutes to open...under best conditions in chennai it is performing like this.in bangalore etc I could not open a mail in 2 hours!!!in chennai where I am using it signal is 100% and very few users here use photon plus but I am paying 900 per month for 4 hours per day with extremely low speeds

Tata Photon — Slow speed of internet

I have purchased a Tata Photon Plus with 5 gb unlimited plan, i am supposed to get Broadband Speed however usual spped is less than 20-30 Kbps, all attempts to evoke response from Nodal officer, Call centre have gone in vain, I wish to lodge a formal Consumer complaint for a) Fradulent Advertisement b) breach of contract. the call center or the nodal office hav not provided any authorised persons name to send a legal notice, hence i am planning to send a legal notice to Ratan Tata himself

Don't bother complaining. Its all useless. I have tried it with out any success.

Only consolation you can take is:

Tata has done a lot good to the country. Now it our turn to donate to TATA. So I have taken it as if I have donated Rs 1500 to Tata (cost of the device). And said them Ta Ta.

Also I have started to believe, Tata is good only in steel or auto, but telecom is not their cup of tea.

So take pride in donating to TATA and say Ta Ta (bye bye) to TATA.

Tata indicom Photon Plus — slow internet services

i an from guwahati and i am using tata indicom photon plus(500 monthly rental). most of the time the connection speed remains very poor which creats lots of difficulties while accessing the net. though their chargrs are very high,service quality is very poor. they should try to resolve the problem immediately or refund the money to the customers.
