Its totally fake. Never reply to these kinds of mails.
For legal activities, always take these kinda mails to spam folder and you can also report yahoo/msn to take legal activities towards these users.
But, the main reason it that these are not a single user, you can take action towards one of them. So, its better not to reply this kind of emails and move these to your spam folder.
Always remember nothing is free in cost in this world :)

Yahoo promotions 2008 — Didn't get my winning amount
Dear sir iam Gopisetty subramanyam sir i was won some of the amount in the last year from the yahoo promotions 2008 so i was sent all the personal details to them so they are ask me to contact with the Halifax bank through the E-mail then i was contacted to the bank they are ask me to pay some of the amount to open my account in the halifax bank so i was paid the amount to them then they are sent the application to open my account to fill i was fill and sent to the bank with in 24 hours they are open my account and again they ask me to pay some of the amount to activate the account again i was paid to them and they are activated again i was paid the government tax fees also but now the bank manager is not transfer my winning amount to my local account so sir please find out this and please help me sir i was spent so much of the amount to the bank of halifax which are in the london so sir please help me sir.Thanking you sir.
