[Resolved]  Toll TAX — Illegal toll tax

Respected Authorities(concerned),
We are a Resident of Mangalore. I Richard speak on behalf of all who have the same complaint as mentioned here.Since 13 years,toll tax is being collected Illegally at NH 48 B.C road to Panemangalore .Their treatment toward the tourist and the regular travelers is very harsh.They use bad words not only with men but with women too.As per my thought,they are local dacoites of the place.Two years back we all had watched the Local news on TV which specified that the toll tax has got over,but still they collect tax forcibly.Even if there is an emergency,they do not allow the people to move on immediately.They just roll over a stop gate across the vehicle not taking into consideration the injury or damage caused to the people.This has been practiced each and every time a person refuses to pay tax.If we fight against it,then 8 to 10 dacoites just flock around and try to attack the owner of the vehicle by physical and mental tortures.This happens atleast twice a day without any exception.But they dont speak against the locals of the area.They allow all the local vehicles to pass.So the locals there support the dacoites and they also have some political influence which gives them the courage to do whatsoever.This problem is suffered by most of the people and they just have kept quiet not knowing what to do.So i request the authorities concerned to solve this problem and to take an action against these people as soon as possible before they threaten another bunch of people.I and my fellow complainers do trust in your speedy help toward the people of mangalore..
