[Resolved]  Unitech Ltd. — Non receipt of Interest of FD

unitech ltd. — Service Tax on under-construction property

I have booked a flat with Unitech Ltd. in 2009. Unitech had sent me a demand letter now for the next instalment of payment, along with Service Tax due in August and November 2010. I understand there is a stay order by the Mumbai High Court on the Service Tax on under construction property. If this is the case, how can Unitech collect Service Tax from the clients.

To my knowledge, there is no such active stay order on the service tax on under construction property. In that case Unitech can collect tax from their customers.

unitech ltd. — Non payment of deposited F.D amount

I have deposited Rs. 50,000/ for one year with M/s Unitech in sept.2010 in the name of my daughter Ms. Priyanka Kalele. On maturity, I had approached the company for refund by submitting the Fixed Deposit receipt in the month of Sept.2011. I have so far not received any reply from the company. Moreover they are not responding to phone calls as the phone nos. given in their brochure remain unattended. Even their toll free line is down for a long time. Pl. suggest a future course of action.
