Sub : - Cashless denial by a Mediclaim company despite submitting all the documents required along with extra documents such as consulting doctors hand written letter, operation papers, medicines papers and Dr. advices etc.
Dear Sir,
One of my friend fell from his bike and he got his ligament fractured. He along with 24 other people did the “taylor made” Mediclaim with “STAR HEALTH INSURANCE”. Immediately as he went to hospital he has informed to Mediclaim officers, who have taken his “MRI and X Ray” report and faxed to their office. Looking at the report they denied the cashless, as it was mentioned in the report that he suffered from some pre existing disease in this knee.
Meanwhile my friend, while his ongoing treatment, was treated for ligament tear by Indore’s most senior Orthopedic specialist. Who after operation clearly told that in MRI report what so ever is written, but currently the patient has been treated for ligament tear which has occurred due to sudden fall and was not pr-existing.
After cashless denial we scanned and mailed this letter, written from senior most consulting Dr. and re-verified by Curewell Hospital’s Director, along with all the other supporting papers and operation report, to Star Health claim officer. But the Dr. remained stucked to his statement looking at MRI report, which stands to be useless as the operation was done for something else.
All this activity wasted our 7 to 8 days in Hospital and our bill kept on increasing + the stress level.
Now we want to fire the case against the “Start Health” who actually did not wanted to give Cashless and always stressed and forced us to pay and reimburse later post discharge.
All the Dr.’s are with us and “CURE WELL” Hospital is among the best hospitals of Indore.
“OUR STATEMENT IS THAT WHEN THEY ARE ASSURING TO GIVE THE CLAIM LATER THEN WHY CAN’T THEY DO THE CASHLESS. IF THEY CAN NOT THEN REMOVE THE CASHLESS GLOBALLY. WHY SO MUCH DRAMA?”
Kindly suggest what to do.
Regards,
