[Resolved]  Vision Care, Chetpet, Chennai — After Sales Service (Wrong Power in Lenses)

My name is Ashwin Kumar, I'm from chennai. This is about a recent experience i had with an optical shop in chennai where i had gone to get a glass pair replaced due to the negligence of the workmanship, but this is what had happened. I experienced the worst ever service at Vision Care, Chetpet Branch, Chennai I had purchased a pair of glasses for my uncle at America from Vision Care, Chennai. We both went to the store. The Technician had taken down the wrong readings of the lenses. When i got back the glasses i found the error and reported it to them. Their reply was that i had made the mistake by not reading out to them as to what reading it was written in that doctor's slip. Will any technician ask for the customer (patient) to read out the readings to them. I had a very bad experience arguing with him. He was so busy explaining me the reason for the error. The doctor's slip cleanly stated that one eye had a reading of -4.75 in it and the other had -6. According to the Lab Technician he took the second reading for four since it was near the first reading's value. Is there any logic in his statement. In the argument he even stated at last that he doing this after sales service for the sake of charity, that is he was shouting before his superior to me saying that this was for free, Has he gone nuts? I have paid him 9, 900/- rupees and he has not done the job right, then how can he say such a sentence. Any customer will definitely feel hit so hard with such kind of a reply. I have never had such a bad experience with any Optical store. All the other stores never minding the size have never been so hard at customers. But such a big store is showing such disrespect to their customers. I hope the Store's seniors come across this review and at least take necessary steps to treat their customers well from the next time. The postage charges have exceeded 40 dollars for the shipping, But even despite telling them all of this the store representatives have shown such neglect which is so worrying.They finally took the glasses for replacement after a long argument ( which was absolutely not necessary ), Now all my worry is that if I'll get back a proper replacement of the lenses or if they will replace them with a cheaper version. Such is my worry now after the kind of response that they gave me. The purchase price of the glasses were 9, 900/- rupees and i only hope that i get the proper replacement back.

I have good experience in vision care, their service and handling the patient is nice
I am the regular customer of Vision care, chetpet branch, I have tested my eyes and purchased a pair of spectacles & contact lenses, My experience with vision care is very good, their approch is like friends otherwise they cannot survive more than two decades, my family and friends all are vision care's customers more than 6 years, ,
