[Resolved]  Vodafone — verify the aunthenticity of SMS

i also received same sms as others stating that i won 400, 000 british pounds in on going 2009SHELL int'l mobile draw and told to claim prize contact dr George willims.
Kindly auntheticate the sms & if it is fake kindly take strict actions against the sender.

I've received an sms from abbey (UK) that my mobile number has won one million British pounds in the ongoing Abbey lucky mobile draw.I was told to contact Sir Lan Tao for claims via [protected]@onlineatabbey.com
Contact number was : [protected]. I'm not sure it is fake or not but i doubt about it because normally even when we create a simple account in the internet they will confirm our status by checking the e-mail we have given.So when i contacted them they didn't even confirm the fact that the winner they are looking for is me or not by any means. So kindly investigate on the above details and make sure it is fake or not.If it is fake or not.If it is fake then please give them appropriate measures.

Even I got the same SMS on 15th August 2009. I wondered to the core when I got the sms. But after thinking a while I thought that this must be a fake one. Kindly take the necessary action against the sender.
The message contains the text as follows
"CONGRAT YOU HAVE WON 400, 00 POUND FOR THE SPDE INTE'L MOBILE DRAW 2009 TO CLAIM CALL MR. JEFF [protected] OR EMAIL YOUR BIO-DATA & PIN 08 TO CLAIM @SPDCP.COM"


The mobile no. on which I recieved the sms is [protected]

The sender of the sms appeared on mobile as TM-ORDAIN.
