[Resolved]  Vodafone Postpaid — Harrasment and threatning call by Vodafone

After six months of disconnection of Mobile No. [protected], i received a threating call from Delhi Police Commisioner on the 3rd December afternoon, that he has an arrest warrant in my name and will come to arrest me at 6pm. He gave me the
number of an Advocate J.R. Mishra [protected]. he asked me to call him and try to settle the matter or else he will get the cops in front of my home in the evening. i was petrified and terrified and fainted at the very first thought of it.
When my colleagues in office called the advocate, he asked to pay an amount of 2510/- immidiately and send across a mail with the bill receipt to address [protected]@vodafone.com
i requested for a dissconnection of my number on the 2nd of June as i got a job in Bangalore and had to move from Delhi. My account also showed a bill plan change which i never requested for. they made me pay 2510/- against an outstanding of 2380/-(i got to know this when i went at Vodafone and checked my account)
I am 21years old and a Low BP patient, who is staying alone in Bangalore without family for the first time in my entire life. the kind of threatening that they gave me could taken life out of me. I in the past six months never received any reminder of any outstanding bill . because i cleared all the payments before getting the number dissconneted(they dont dissconnet without clearing the dues!!!) . my current number is [protected], i request you to take some action, as i am still not over the whole senario. you can understand how it must have been for a person who has never even seen a police station apart from in movies.

Vodafone — No-Service-But bill payment

Hi,

My wife is using the vodafone for the past 2 years (post paid, number is: [protected]). Suddenly they want my wife to submit the address proof documents at vodafone store and my wife was unable to submit as I am presently in US and she was not in a position to submit them (she was hospitalized for 3 months).

The service got disconnected on 8th November and now my wife got a call saying that all the bills to be paid then only the service will be disconnected. When the SIM itself is in inactive mode for 3 months how they are asking me to pay the bills for the 3 months.

They want me to pay the bill for FREE...

Vodafone — Regular Inconvenience Calls

The company has been calling me again & again for submitting my bill whose due date is still very far.

My billing cycle is 23rd of every month and bill is received on 5th of every month and instead of requesting them that I am a service employee please don't give me a call for billing as my company re-imburse me on 7th-8th of every month so I cant pay before that, so please rather increase my credit limit, regular calls from their executives and requesting them, they have disconnected my number 2 times when i have requested that i am out of station most of the time during the month. I have to use 2 local SIM because of this.I have given them so many calls regarding the same during my roaming visits also but their executives have kept it on hold.I am fed up with their services now, but due to paucity of time still have to pay installment payments even when my company pays it for me.
PLZ SIR GIVE ME A DETAIL FOR THIS NO.[protected]

Vodafone — Threatening & Harassing customers

Hi

This complaint is to highlight the manner in which Vodafone has been operating in India and threatening customers to the extent of extortion for taking money from the customers.

This is in reference to vodafone numbers which was taken in the name of me and my spouse.

I got a call from a person called "Rahul" on 12-Apr-11 at 9.40 AM claiming to be calling from the Legal Team of Vodafone and asked me to do the payment of these 2 numbers outstanding amount which was roughly Rs. 9000. I assured him that the payments would be done after the settlement of the deposits paid to Vodafone.

He maintained his stand and asked me to do the payment of the outstanding amount as per the stipulated time set by him for the day i.e by 3:00 PM. He threatened me to do the payment in full else he would send his team of people to my office or residence to collect the payment on the same day failing which he threatened me of dire consequences.

This was the first ever call I had received from somebody representing Vodafone for the outstanding payment and to my surprise he gave me the deadline do the entire payment same day. I said that I cannot do the payment same day and requested him to wait for few days and I shall do the payments in full after deducting the refundable deposits accordingly in the coming weeks. But he refused to accept it and kept calling me 3-4 times till 2:00 PM and went on to threaten me again to do the payment immediately within 1 hour.

This kind of extortionists and coercive nature of people working in Vodafone to get money out of customers is highly objectionable.

In that case, when I was using the services and there used to be lot of call drops due to poor network, I should have gone ahead and compalined against vodafone and canceled the connection as it owed to me every single paisa of mine wasted due to call drops. But my number was shared with my clients and I had to stick with it. Even after such pathetic services, all the payments were honoured regularly by me for 2yrs.

I maintained all along that I would do the payment after the settlement but this person started behaving very rude in a manner that cannot be described in a professional environment and it took me by shock completely. I did not expect this kind of behavior from a professional company like Vodafone and therefore, it seriously amounts to coercion and openly flouts all rules and regulations of India's Telecom Regulator TRAI's guidelines of payments and collections.

Though I did the payment after the settlement of the deposit amount, I would never go back to taking a connection from Vodafone ever. This may not affect your revenue in a big way but it is to be noted that I used to be a customer from which Vodafone got Rs 4000 every month for more than 2 yrs and yet this is how they treat their so called valuable customers. Hence, in its own way, it will affect your business in future.

This is a complete failure of the Customer Services of the highest level as claimed by Vodafone.

I would strongly recommend all those who take vodafone connection to do the payment in time or else they would also be harassed same way and they would be given no time to do the payment. There is no time given to Vodafone customers to do the payment and one has to do the payment on the same day of the first call received for payment.

I would have happily done the payment if these people had behaved and spoken politely and in a professional manner. However, I am saddened by this act of armtwisting the customers and threaten over the phone again and again to do the payment to Vodafone.

Hope you would take some action against these kind of practices to atleast protect the interest of its customers and maintain the dignity of Vodafone customers in India.

I was planning to take a Blackberry phone in April 2011 with a Vodafone connection in Mumbai considering a lot of people said the network of Vodafone is good in Mumbai. However, customer service is more than than just good network coverage.

I would be now opting out of Vodafone and prefer Airtel / Idea as my service provider.

I demand a compensation of Rs. 10000/- from Vodafone for harassing me and my family.
Realy shocked to here such an incident from a corporate like Voodafone. this kind of gunda ism should not tolerated. they must be brough before law. such an act from vodafone should be exposed to all cell users.

Vodafone — Vodafone fooling customers by suspending service

My vodafone prepaid # is [protected].
On Apr26,I was unable to make calls from my mobile even though it had suffecient balance(about Rs75).I called the Vodafone customer care, and the executive told me that there was a problem with their server and to get it activated I had to recharge immediately to some amount...All this for their server being down!!!

I recharged online and it did get activated.I was able to make 1 call and again it got suspended on the same day even though I had Rs100+ balance.
I called up the customer care and they told me that the GPRS facility got activated on the previous recharge and my balance is now -15 .My validity got reset to Apr26 2011 as well when it was sometime after 2020 previously

Why did I have to forcefully do a recharge and why did Rs95 get deducted when I did this recharge (for their server being down).Isnt this their gimmick of fooling their customers by forcing them to do a recharge for deduction.

I called customer care and they told me that I will get back the money and validity on Apr27 midnight...No respinse. My phone continues to be in a suspended state....
take action

Vodafone India — Threatening & Armtwisting customers

Attn: All Vodafone users

I have browsed through the entire website of Vodafone India – http://www.vodafone.in but the Code of Conduct/Manual of Practice for collection agencies is not present at all. This means Vodafone does not adhere to the best practices in the industry.

You must know that most of the telecom operatoirs in India have these details on the website. See example below (one of the Indian Telecom Major has the following info on their website:

Code of Conduct | Collection Process | Collection Agencies Contact Details

* Can’t make visit in Groups.
* Can’t use harsh/abusive/threatening language with customer.
* Can’t enter the house of the customer without his permission.
* Can’t take any entertainment from the customer.
* Visits should be in formal Attire.
* Has to give company receipt on payment from the customer.
* Has to take appointment as far as possible before visiting.
* Has to carry his photo identity card along with authorization letter from service provider to the outsourced agency. Photo Identity must contain the number of the supervisory officer / helpline number of the service provider.
* Has to bring disputes of the customer to the notice of the company.
* Has to leave message if customer is not available.
* Customer details not to be shared with others.
* Refer customer with his complete name along with salutation e.g. Mr./Miss ABC
* Has to call/visit customers between 9am to 8pm only.
* Has to call customers only from the numbers published on the website.
* When contacting customer convey complete details such as:
* Name of the person being contacted
* Name of the service provider
* Name of the outsourcing agency
* Contact numbers

This is the transparency and trust that Vodafone does not reflect in its operations. Hence, I prefer this Indian company which respects its fellow citizens and operates as per guidelines of TRAI and the best practices in the industry.

Vodafone Postpaid — misguidance from customercare executives

i wanted to migrate my plan from postpaid to prepaid as i am unable to afford it.I asked the relevant documents and procedure to the customercare executive.as my mobile number is registered on my father's name,so i even asked them that if i could do it on his behalf. the executive agreed that it can be done on his behalf by using NOC.
Now when my billing cycle ended i went to them demanding the migration, but they refused to do so and instead asked me that my father has to do it in person. i was totally misguided by the executives who suggested me the procedure(i could to it on his behalf).now my father is out of town and i will have to wait for another month to migrate my plan.this was totally disappointing as i will have to pay for next whole month and i am unable to afford it.i demand that as they misguided me they are liable to pay charges of my next month bill.this kind of misguidance should be dealt with strictly,so that customers won't have suffer for what they are unaware of.

Vodafone — Poor and irritating service

I have purchased 2 CUG postpaid connections from Vodafone and can say their Happy top help statement is purely BOGUS. Vodafone executive did not visit my home on time so they barred my service without thinking anything. After lots of efforts and followup they have started services. Then again when bill reached at 400 they barred my outgoing saying to do interim payment. I have done interim payment 3 times in a span of 15 days and my current bill is 1100. Do you believe that they don't even bother to inform. If my bill is generated then exact amount should not be more than 500 while I have paid 1100 till now. What the hell is going on at vodafone end.

I have used airtel for 2 years and never faced such irritating situations and they are far better than Vodafone.Even after barring outgoing I can't call customer care to seek any help.

Apart from above I have reported one technical problem 2 weeks back and nobody has responded yet. I can not receive call from other network like airtel etc. Kindly note that there is serious problem with their series starting 888*******.,
