[Resolved] Vodafone Prepaid — Unwanted annoying offer calls and messages
My mobile number is [protected].This is a vodafone number (Bangalore). I called the vodafone call center reguarding the regular sms and call based offers (atleast 1 sms and call daily) from the mobile service provider. They told me to start the DND service by smsing START DND to 1909 and wait for 45 days for it to take effect and all offer calls and sms would be stopped there after. But now it has been nearly 5 months since i started the DND service, yet i receive the same number of calls and sms offers as before. If i send START DND message to 1909 again, a message comes back to me from 1909 saying `DND is already active for your mobile phone'. If i call the call center number (111) about the problem again they instruct me to do the same (sending START DND message to 1909). This is a real headache for me and i cant change my number as it is already with many of my friends and relatives. Sir i kindly request you to take action against the company and provide me and customers like me with some respite. Was this information helpful?

45 days to deactivate DND?? Have you heard of anything more ridiculus?? They might just have said 45 years!
The constant telemarketing calls are one of several reasons I chucked my vodafone SIM in the recycle bin.
Not to mention the non-stop remainders to "subscribe to Cricket alerts" and to play the game of "how many children Mallika Arora has".
I mean, if you're having a nice nap on a Sunday afternoon, the least thing you want is a telemarketing call with an automated voice telling you to download some caller tune in a language you don't understand.
Vodafone, you really suck. It is time the consumers showed you who's boss.
