[Resolved]  Voltas - Split AC — NO SERVICES FROM VOLTAS

Two years ago, i installaed one split AC of 0.8 ton from Voltas. Its sealed system is still under warranty.
This ac stopped functionning this month and i lodged the service request on Voltas centralised service system / call center on April 14, 2008 ( complaint number 08AP140342). The first time i was told that the service technician would attend within 48 hours. No body visited. After waiting for one week, i started following up with the call center giving reference to my complaint number, everytime i am told that the technician is visiting today. Finaaly, i approached the website of Voltas to fing two email addresses, one of Head, Mumbnai Region, Mr A K joshi and second of Prakash, and sent them email on 25th April, 2008 requesting for intervention, but to my surprise, both the emails bunced back.

We donot expect the poor service support from the TATA group compny, who claim to have INDIA KA AC.
Yes, they truly have INDIA KA AC-----No service Support. The other MNC have very quick service backup and truly respond back within 48 hours.

This is the status of VOLTAS Service in MUMBAI...What to talk of small cities? Finally, i am being forced to get the repairs done in open market, inspite of having warranty.

My strong recommendations... dont get carried away by INDIA KA AC...DONOT BUY VOLTAS AC - or else have a failed AC in peak summer...INSTEAD buy some brand which gives good after sales...GODREJ is one definitely...

I have purchase voltas siplit AC in 2007.
The does not worksproperly.

The compressure needs replacement.
The compressure replaced but works for one day only.
Since than dispite number of telephonics calls
There is No out come
MY voltas Vertis 1.5 Ton Split AC was installed on 15.7.2009. In November, 2009 the water circulation system stopped working and the whole water suddenly fell on the floor. On 16.11.2009, the service people visited and took the unit for sending to the factory promising that the AC will be installed after 2 dayss. But today is 30.11.2009 and I was making several telephone and mobile calls for fixing up the AC but to no avail. I am praying God to help me in the matter.
i was willing to buy a voltas ac but now by viewing so many after sales problem i am changing my mind.i am gonna go for lg now.

I purchased a Voltas split A/C 50T VERTIS HW AIRCON on 21st March from CHAWLA Refrigeration Shahadra Delhi vide retail Invoice No 2505.
On installation itself the compressor was found defective, it was
immediatly reported to Chawla Refrigeration and VOLTAS service
center. It was inspected by the the service center engineer and
declared defective.
However, to my horror surprise it has not been replaced yet and
today another person visits and says it will be inspected again and
a report will be made then only some action will be taken.

The attitude of the Seller and VOLTAS company is totally unexpected
and no one seems to be bothered about the consumer and the
reputation of the Company.

May i request you to intervene to get my brand new airconditioner
functional.

I spent twenty years in Jamshedpur. We are so fascinated that where ever it is possible, we buy TATA product. When I decided to have an air conditioner, I decided for VOLTAS. I bought 1.5 ton Vertis Premium Split AC vide invoice no. 154 dt. 26.05.2009 from M/s S.K.Enterprises, Patna, and the machine was installed vide service report dt. 23.05.09 ( Serial No. Indoor 4551075 PO 9 D 004989 and Outdoor 4511071 P 09 Doo3445 with Motor [protected]). Ever since it was installed, the machine is giving continuous noise. It was checked on 05.08.09 and it was noticed that when the cover ( body) was removed, there was no noise. Machine was checked by service engineer and was found OK. But when cabinet was placed, it started giving extra sound.
Further there was problem in the remote right from beginning. There was a black patch on the screen and thus functions were not easily visible.
Machine was serviced again on 04.03.10 and the complain remained the same. It becomes difficult to sleep with the noise, the machine is making.
Kindly advise your service centre at Patna ( Mr. Gaurav [protected]) on the possibilities of a permanent remedy. I am afraid that problem is solved within its warrantee period. Kindly acknowledge and attend the problem.

very bad company.worst advice, i have purchased one voltas split ac on 1st april 2010.still not installed.i am not expect such a good company TATA.

dear sir hamare yaha voltas ki 6 a.c. home me aur 1 a.c. off me hai lekin sarvise ke nam pe aapk co. 3rd class hai. Pichle 30 days se complaint karne ke bad bhi koi response nahi mil raha.

One system has been purchase on 29 july 2009 as per oparating manu 2 service is from company side till date no one has visited to service my system. Since last one week system has become unserviceable I lodged complaint (no.10AP 1204680) on 12th of april. I was promissed that your complain will be dealt within 24 hours but till no technician has visited to my office.

We have purchased Voltas Elite split ac from M/s Vasanth &co, West Thambaram 15 days back. The company took 5 days for delivery and three days for installation. After installation the Service persons abruptly left without seeing whether it is working or not. We have also lodged a complaint immediately. But one service person by name Gothandam repeatedly told he will come to day, next day and so on. Even after the lapse of 10 days out investment in the a c is utter waste and it has not worked even a single minute. When we called area service manager repeatedly for many times he not even attend his mobile. So dear customers please dont purchase any TATA product since they are least bothered about customers and are only money minded. As and when money changed to their hands they just forget the customer and go for another person to squeese money. This is my experience.
I think I have to inform all my friends by mail not to go for any of the TATA product hereafter.
voltas split ac 1.5 ton i have purchased on 25.04.2009, on the 16th of april 2010 i complaint to your customer care for it is giving smell of burning. but sorry to inform you that your any attendent not attend my complaint yet, i am waiting from 16.04.10, now i have decided that i will repair my ac by any other place, and i will go to consumer fouram for the calim of my amount and my harasment for these days.i will wait only for today, thanks.

Here it is to inform you that i have purchase an Voltas Split Ac Gold 1 t on 2 april -2009 after contionus asking for services from last 2 months i have not rec any response and in mar-2010 i have purchase 2 second split Ac for which dealer is not ready to give warranty card so can u help me out.

every company has same problem I purchase split ac on 06/05/2009 Godrej 1.5 Ton three free servicing available in this company no any free servicing done by company my ac not working from 18/04/2010 i lodge a complain my complain no is 112885 on 18/04/2010 The first time call center person was told that the service technician would attend within 48 hours. No body visited. After waiting for one week i directly call asansol service station Mr sarfaraj He told me technician come on 24/04/2010 but technician come on 25/04/2010 at 9:30 pm my outdoor put down and open than after 15 minutes close and said to me outdoor unit send to asansol service station my van come tommorrow handover this machine no any van come on 26/04/2010. than i call head office mumbai Mr rajan on 28/04/2010 and said every thing he take a time approx 1 hour van come after 1 hour i hand over the machine on 28/04/2010 but till now my machine problem not solve and no any information when my machine reinstall today is 02/05/2010

i bought voltas split ac on april 2010 andto my surprise the piece is defective i made complain his executive has come and checked and said its defective and i will place order to replace same after that no body is bothered to come and replace nither his dealer not executive has come up since last 15 days

The spilt A/c 1.5 ton voltas was purchased in july 2008. water circulation is not working properly and the water flalls inside the room. I had complaint and the complaint No 10JU0201903 No action is taken even after 5 days. The call centre is useless they just say the technician will attend. But your waiting will be in vain. The Service of Voltas is very bad. God bless indians
