[Resolved]  Voltas Vertis AC — poor service

The Voltas Vertis model AC was bought a year ago, for the fourth time the AC is not working. Each time a complaint is being made, they take their own time to attend the serivice required. proper customer care support is required

I am Shailesh Singh working in multinational co. in servicing deptt in delhi and my residence in Kanpur.I have purchased one ton Voltas split A C ( indor no. F 002448 & outdor no. F 002356 ) from Saraf cooling co. pvt ltd 122 /1 /A - 2, Sarojani nagar, Kanpur -208012 Ph nos[protected], 2219098, 5295164 on dated 28.06.09.After one month of installation gas was leaked then company refilled the gas without leakage testing.Next year 2010 at the time of starting this AC cooling was not proper, company person attended this problem twice time and again filled the gas two times in AC .In the same march year 2011 when we start our A C then cooling is not working .I again gave the complained ( complain no 855 dated 17.03.11 ) to Saraf cooling but their service engineer attended the problem on dated 28.03.11with very slow response and again declared that gas was leaked.So please take strict and needful action on my matter as well as on Saraf cooling for better service and quick response . Because I am very much fedup with this leakage matter and in my view this will also affect your market goodwill also.

i purchased one ton voltas vertis classic ac on 13 03 2010. from the date of purchase at least once in 3 months, it necessiated repair . The swing blades which can not become non functional struck two times even after attended belatedly by service centre. everytime i had to spend atleast 1000 rs for servicing. I thought voltas being the forerunner in ac will provide good product. But they hav not maintained their status. They cheat their loyal customers. I strongly recommend to my friends and in office not to purchase voltas any more and lose the money and peace. - Rangarajan, chennai

I bought VOLTAS AC around 1.75 years back. Unfortunately it was not giving cooling effect within this period (my previous AC HITACHI was working for more than 6 years w/o any issues). Hence costed more than 5000 Rs (>20% of new product cost. Hardly I used it for two summers – totaling Six Months period)

The service provided is much more pathetic. Its PATHETIC to the extent ever I have experienced in my life. To fix a custom problem of no cooling effect it took 4 days (visits). One more visit is pending (the last one alone is due to power down issue).

Root/Whole cause finding and Cost estimation was not done properly on the first day and it was increasing on every visit (the base itself is high).
Time promised was not kept up. Service Manager didn’t even have a courtesy to call and inform regarding any delay.

When I recently searched I was able to find lot of issues with the product and service VOLTAS AC. I realized my mistake of not doing proper research before buying (just because of TATA Brand).

Product VOLTAS VERTIS ELITE – 1.5 tons split. Service center – Southern Comfort, # 45, Nathamuni St, TNagar, Chennai-600017.

I wanted to append my experience, so that others won’t repeat my mistake.

I HAVE A WINDOW AC 1.5 TON WITH VOLTAS STABILISER. THE AC GOT SWITCHED OFF WITHIN 2 MINUTES. I SENSED IT WAS PROBLEM WITH STABILISER. CALLED VOLTAS CALL CENTRE, WAS TOLD COMPLAINT WOULD BE ATTENDED WITHIN 24 HOURS. THAT WAS THE END OF IT. NOBODY CAME TILL DATE. MORE THAN 10 DAYS HAD ELAPSED. INBETWEEN, I CALLED THE CALL CENTRE AND TOLD THE STATUS FOUR TIMES. THE RESPONSE WAS TOTALLY NIL. WORST SERVICE BY VOLTAS. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY A VOLTAS PRODUCT AGAIN IN MY LIFE !. IT IS PEAK SUMMER NOW. AND MY WIFE AND KIDS ARE SUFFERING. !. THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH INDIAN COMPANIES. I THINK THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD TAKE OVER VOLTAS AS THEY WILL PROVIDE BETTER SERVICE !.
I got a voltas window 1.5 ton ac. after having a complaint, called the voltas customer care. was given one complaint number. that was the end of it. no body came. i called the customer care again 4 times. everytime, i was told that it would be attended within 24 hours. thats all. that twenty hours is yet to come even after 10 days. i will never ever buy a voltas product again in my life. it is a typical TATA product. very poor quality and even poor service. that's why LGs and SAMSUNGs are growing in india phenomenally with their very efficient products and after sales service. my advice to every one is that DO NOT BUY VOLTAS PRODUCTS. AND GOD HELPS THOSE WHO BUYS ONE.
i got the voltas window AC 1.5 ton 2.5 year before. That AC work proprly only in the first Year and in second year i did refilling of gas around 5 times always paid Rs 2500/-. Now in this year, i did refilling on 16/3/2011 and within 15 days gas leakage problem again arises and then i called directly to the gas service who did service on 16/3, that time they did provide bill to me says now we will entertain you free service and then again after 4 days gas leakage problem arise, , god help me 4m unneccesary money spending on voltas AC service, , , plz-plz dont ever purchase voltas product all people living near to my house has Sumsung product enojying without any hinderance from 4-5 years.

I have purchase new Voltas split a.c elite(S) 1.5 tone at jagdamba sales corporation op road Vadodara. For the date is 28/06 2010 invoice no 619. I purchase this a.c during the yesr we have no maintaince & service providing for me. I complain the shop for the service the a.c we have not responding and guide line for the service. Purchased voltas vertis A/C a year back. Show E24. What does this mean. there is no cooling the getting foul smell. after installation of the A/C the service is also poor. with freee two service we got to be behind them . very hard to digest. The customer care dont bother when called also.

I was planning to buy a Voltas split AC. But looking at the number of complaints and the poor service offered by the TATA Comapny, I have decided to go for Hitachi split AC.

I remember having suffered at the hands of Voltas, when I bought a Refrigerator almost 10-12 year back. i had to run from pillar to post to get to the service department manager. Even after 30 complaints even to the higher officers, no one bothered.

My suggestion: Keep your hands off VOLTAS

I purchased Voltas Split 2 Ton Vertis Premium from Maharashtra Electronic Corporation, M G Road, Camp, Pune-1 on 3.5.2011. Dealer delivered Indoor unit correctly. Outdoor unit delivered is Classic (2star) instead of Premium (3 STAR). Dealer scratched all printings of Classic on carton & written as Premium by hand. This is cheating case. Difference of price is Rs.1000/- When pointed out dealer agreed to replace within 2 days.
Also, Indoor unit delivered WITHOUT REMOTE CONTROL.

This make depressive mind when you purchase good brand like TATA. Always check & think before you purchase.

I purchased two nos Voltas Vertis Plus split AC from their authorised dealer named Ramcore Enterprises Pvt.Ltd, Visakhapatnam and installed at my house on 16.10.09. Just within six months of installation the fan of one AC broken.I immediately informed to the dealer but have not taken any action.Thereafter I complained to their customer care and they send the mechanic who made the AC alright by replacing a new fan.Till now this running.But the second AC got the same problem in last week of April'11i'e just after one and half year of installation.I immediately contacted their service centre who sent the mechanic next day and put the new fan by charging Rs.800/- as the waranty period is over.But just after 6 days again the same problem (Fan broken).I contacted the same service center at Visakhapatnam who replied that he out of station and adviced me to contact Ramcore.From that day I regularly contacting them at least 4-5 times of day but every time reply with some excuses.Even I sent the complain to customer care and Voltas Ltd by e'mail 3 times but they have not replied any of my mail.I requested in my mail either to replace or repair or advice me that shall I go for another brand as I want to relieve my self from this headache.
I purchased this product with confidence that the product is having the brand name of TATA and as assure to every body that they are having excellent sales and service which is not true.
Will the TATA company will come forward to help me which will be construed that TATA's are really stand for their promise.
