[Resolved]  Voltas / Window A.c. 1.5t Vertis Plus — Compressor failed within 8 months

I had purchased one window air conditioner “1.5T Voltas Vertis Plus SR.No.7D031062” on dated 24.07.2007 from “DTC Appliances, 111/428, 80 feet Road, Kanpur (bill no 3677 dated 24.07.2007) . The A.C. with stabilizer was installed ( Slip no 3663 dated 24.07.2007) by the mechanic of DTC Appliances at my residence “Flat no 11, Type-IV, Telecom Officers Colony, Moti Mohal Kanpur. On 20.04.2008 A.C. stopped cooling of air. When it was complaint to the dealer, The A.C. was un-stalled and sent to his work-shop. The dealer has reported that the compressor is defective and will be replaced. And till today (05.05.2008) The A.C is not repaired.
At my home the use of A. C. is only 4 to 5 hrs per day only during summer season. Now it is very shocking to me that only after 9 months of purchase ( which also includes 4 months of winter season) the compressor becomes defective.
it is therefore requested that my whole A.C. may kindly be replaced with new unit so I can get satisfaction form Voltas Branded product.
