[Resolved]  Wagon R — CHEATED IN QUALITY

Dear Sir,

I have a desire to own a Maruti WagonR and I along with my brother, both SBI STAFF approached the SKY Automobiles, Bhubaneswar (Maruti Dealer) for two WagonRs. The sales head there at tried to convince us regarding the Maruti Insurance which we accepted gladly. When enquired about the accessories to be fitted extra to our vehicle he gave us the idea that the cost of the accessories required by us will cost around Rs.8000/-. (Front power windows & central lock). But at the time of delivery of the first vehicle on 11th. Dec’ 2009 he asked us Rs.12000/- for the above two accessories. When we raise objection and discontent he along with the Executive, Nishant Joshi tried to explain that the quality is different, i.e., 5K central lock will cost more. They assured us to allow rebate on the 5K accessories and asked us to pay Rs.10000/- instead of Rs.12000/- for the same. We take delivery of the first vehicle and got the papers of the vehicle after 5 days, that too without the extended warranty paper and after a number of reminders to the dealer. From the bills it is found that a 3K central lock is fitted to our vehicle which cost only Rs.3000/- and the dickey is opening with the key without any alarm when the vehicle is centrally locked. When asked they had no answer and only they tried to convince us that 5K lock is fitted. But the personnel who fitted the part confirmed that 3K lock has been fitted as per direction from Nishant Joshi, the Sales Executive of Bhubaneswar . We have to run to them to collect the papers (extended warranty). In this way we are fooled about the rebate, superfluously granted to us and cheated with quality.

Being frustrated, with much tension we approached the Sky Automobiles, Cuttack and asked for the delivery of the second vehicle which was earlier booked at Bhubaneswar . They gladly welcome us and assured us about the quality. The error in the Central lock has been rectified by them which cost us Rs.2100/- more. This amount should be recovered from the Bhubaneswar Dealer and refunded to us.

We are completely dissatisfied with the dealings of the Sky Automobiles, Bhubaneswar who tried to hide information and cheated us. Being the dealer of such a prominent and famous industry they are not transparent in their dealings. Customers should not be kept in darkness and looted latter on.
