this is true wi5 connections is very slowest i taken 1mbsplan and paid 6-months advance rent plus installation charges totally 3720-rs gone the connection is very slow i. made lot of complaints there is no response please don't go any persons to this connection worst service technical persons have no knowledge very poor service and no response

Not Recommended. False Promises
don't go with wi5. they are using shared bandwidth, so most of the time you will get
very worst speed. I am also using from last 20days. first 7 days are normal, after that
I got only below 250kbps. My connection is 1Mbps.

Customer support is also worst. I logged a complaint and not solved for more than 4 days even I called them everyday.
If you want a 256kbps, then go with them. because you will get that speed most of the time.

Very worse Srevice
Its about one year from the previous complaint, and this is still true. The only reason i got interested in wi5 is they don't enforce fair usage policy on their plans till 1 mbps. but iam not even getting 1 mbps.
The actual speed is very low to whats promised in the plan. i got 1mbps plan paying 3 months rental recently. The service guy showed me a demo of the connection speed which showed only 850kbps, and he said that wifi promises only 80% of the plans speed and the remaining speed is expected to vary ( damn why don't you people say these things earlier).
so in reality you might not be getting full speed mentioned in your plan always.
second the bandwidth is shared by all users in your locality so most of the time you are likely to get very low speeds depending upon the time o[censored]sage. i right now get only 590 kbps on the average for almost 3 hours.
third the connections are proxied by the wifi gateway. when you make a very first connection its pretty damn slow (almost 5 to 7 seconds and even more some times) but once the connection is made, the data transfer should be good if you are at the fine time of the day. I play multi-player games online and this is causing me lag most of the time and makes me irritated.
Fourth Nothing is fully disclosed till they actually get you the connection. The service guy attached a wireless receiver on my roof top and connected a lan cable to it, extending to my house. i was expecting a concealed connection so there wont be any ugly cables hanging around but damn this is what they can do it seems. he connected the lan cable to my laptop and said its done .( WTF ), the caveat here is you need a wireless router ALREADY to actually make use of it. and it will be a pain in the if this is the first time you want to convert your wireless router to act as a switch. and you have to do this your self which is bull . Funny part is the receiver they attached on my house is capable of acting as a access point but the crappy router setting doesn't seem to work no matter what i provide. so in short out of the box a wifi connection is only meant for a single desktop.
In short never go for wi5, may be try for few months to get a first hand experience but better stay away from them. after three months iam just gonna go back to my good old bsnl.

I would like to inform you that Wi5 company has been providing me horrible service for the last 3 months. I am a subscriber from Goa having 1Mbps connection but they are providing of not even 256Kbps. Please see the attachment if you think this is untrue.
After numerous calls to their call centre and local office (all who cannot even speak proper English including members of their technical team). Sometimes even their[protected] number doesn’t work nor people at the local office pick up the phone during working hours. All their staff are very rude and do not provide their names, they act like uneducated people who are doing the customer a huge favour. This company is spoiling the name of Chennai.
