World Space Radio — Harrasment by tele marketers of World Space
The world space authorised telecalling centre calls me every once in two weeks for the past 10 months and are harrassing me way beyond limits.I was their customer two years ago, but since they suddenly changed passwords & failed to give me a new password, I had discontinued their service despite having already paid for the same.
Every once in two weeks they call up for some service or the other. Four months ago I had demanded that I talk to the manager Arvind Bhandari who apologised, gave me a complaint no ID 527850 and promised me that I will nto recieve any more calls. But promptly from next week again I started getting calls. I am unable to talk to anyone or their manager.
This is a violation that I can approach TRAI for unsolicited telemarketing. What other options do I have? Can you please let me know the contact details of their global CEO so that I can write in to lodge a complaint? Its a horrible service worsened by an even more horrible customer service (their department should be called Customer Disservice Department!!).

I have never been contacted by world space in the past 2-3 since i have been having my connections. No one ever used Worldspace's name to market any product to me. So I have to disagree with the complainant.

I have been using word space radio for the past 7 years and I never had any complaint. When the password expiry date approach they used to remind us one or two times. Even this service had been added only recently (may be past 2 years). I am a highly satisfied world space radio customer.
World Space — RECONNECTION

Since i moved in March I have called a million times to have my World Space reconnected but they have not come!
The customer service numbers just ring and no one answers, i got through they registered a complaint them dead again...no word from them.
I have sent mails via the web and through my personal mail and have received no call back or reply!!
SOMEONE HELP!! What do i need to do to get it re connected and the months that i have not used reimbursed!
World Space Radio — No installation since 10 months
I'm resident of hyderbad. I requested customer care of world space raio several time and till date they did not do the installation. Its now more than 10 months and still they have not done. I'm fed up calling customer care and installation engineer. I paid amount but did not get the services because they did not do the installation. Yes I agree . I hold a received ID 193911 in the name of my husband M.Ramesh and have renewed the World Space subscription on 05, 12, 2009. Received an Email from the World Space Radio confirming the payment and stating that the subscription is until 04/06/2011. But since the past two weeks have discontinued the service. How do I get back the renewal amount.
I have been a subscriber of Worldspace right from the time they started operations in Bangalore. On 15 Dec 2009 I gifted a set with two years subscription to my sister in Mumbai and they did deliver the unit and connected the set on 20 Dec 2009. But by 24th Dec I came to know about their decision to close down. What I want to know is if they had decided to close down their operations why did they accept my order. I feel like I have been cheated. The total amount I have lost in this transaction is over Rs.6000/-

This action is an outgrowth of the financial difficulties facing WorldSpace India’s parent company, WorldSpace, Inc., which has been under bankruptcy protection since October 2008. The potential buyer of much of WorldSpace’s global assets has decided not to buy the WorldSpace assets relating to and supporting WorldSpace’s subscription business in India. As a consequence, WorldSpace, Inc. must discontinue its subscriber business in India. Your subscription contract is with WorldSpace, Inc., a US company that is in a bankruptcy proceeding in the United States. The company recognizes that you may have paid for services to be rendered beyond the termination date, but is not in a position to offer a refund for any unused portion of your subscription.
You may have a potential remedy under the U.S. bankruptcy law. You may file a claim under the claims procedure that is intended to protect creditors of the bankrupt company. Sometime early next year, a claim servicing company will send notice to all creditors listed by the company. World Space Radio — Company has closed down after collecting subscription fees for two years
I have purchased World Space Satellite Radio with two years subscription and the company suddenly shut down with out intimidating customers about ii. I seek a refund for the same.World Space — sudden termination - refund of subscription
I had also renewed my subscription for Worldspace service the validity of which is upto January 2011. Without any prior intimation, Worldspace people terminated their service wef 31st Dec 2009. How about refunding the excess payment of subscription for two years for the unutilised period? It is not befitting the image of Worldspace which was my avid passtime throughout day and night. When they can serve people of other countries, why not Indian people? How do one goes about to set things right? Only in India, people of this nature can get away with anything and go scotfree and the concerned authorities keep watching silently. It is a clear expression of Corporate Irresponsibility. Yes I agree. No acknowledgment even towards the mail message sent towards claims made. Even after 10 months, no initiative from Claim Servicing Co.

World Space Radio — termination of connection before time
sir,i am sqn ldr sandeep singh from airforce.i had bought a world space reciever ON 28 JUL 07 with one year subscription of rs 1800 to the dealer TANISHQ LIGHTINGS, COURT ROAD, SAHARANPUR, (UP).I started recieving letters from world space from dec 07 onwards for renewing my subscription ie only after six months of subscription.i spoke to the dealer however he refused to help where as world space did not take any action on my complaints lodged in feb 08 and once more in june 08.My conection was terminated well before the actual time period ie 28 jul 08.my bill no is 1403 dtd 28 jul 07.although i have renewed my subscription however the clarification on the early termination of my connection before one year or the refund for the same is still awaited is still awaited.
