Yatra.com — About my refund status

My complaint to yatra is about my refund status i have made a flight ticket from new delhi to hyderabad and the ticket was not alloted to me with not any type of ref no and the balance was deduted from my sbi online account i amount was deducted on 06/01/2011 and today its 23/01/2011 till now the amount is not refunded only the people are wasting the time of customers holding them on calls for several time.

Few days back we received a promotional call from AMAN & RAJAN ARYA from YATRA.COM. We were told about promotional vouchers worth Rs 40, 000 on a payment of Rs 7719; saying CLEARLY that we could club the vouchers and redeem them at ONE GO. This was confirmed by the above two agents AGAIN and AGAIN and this is the reason why we went for the offer. However today we received our vouchers and they clearly says it can’t be clubbed, this was confirmed by the customer care executive. We have filed a complaint with the escalation department…. And have asked for refund. This is a clear case of LYING and FRAUD and if no action is taken we will go to the CONSUMER COURT and post this on all SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES.DO NOT buy such coupons and BEWARE of such promotional calls. This gives the impression that YATRA.com IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED.

Yatra.com — Incomplete ticket booking

I had booked tickets through yatra.com for 3 passengers. The booking was done on 16th Nov, 2010, for journey date 22nd Jan 2011. The payment for all 3 passengers was done. However, at the time of check-in, the airline staff said the ticket was booked only for two passengers - one adult & one child. The infant ticket was not booked. So we had to purchase the infant ticket again at the airport.

I want Yatra.com to refund the Rs 800 that was paid to them earlier.

Also, this is so much of the mental harassment for the customer, travelling with two kids.
Either yatra.com should not set the system right or stop making bookings for infants.

Yatra.com — Free ticket vouchers pulled back without intimation.

This complaint is regardign a cheating case done by Yatra Travels Online (Yatra.com) which has offered me (Abhishek Sharma), 4 Free Go Air tickets on booking a return journey ticket for my mother (passenger name: Saroj Sharma) for the travel on 08/01/2011 (Delhi-Mumbai) & 23/01/2011 (Mumbai-Delhi) through Indigo Airlines. The attached screenshot contains the term & conditions which says ticket to be booked between 01/02/2011 to 10/02/2011 and only through Go Air Airlines. However, company claims that we have taken back that offer. How is it possible after issuing the promotional codes/voucher to the consumers who made the booking based on the offer at that time. Kindly look into it & punish the merchant travel company who claims to offer the best to the consumers & do such type of frauds.

My next step is to file this case to my nearest consumer complaint center, which either will be in Thane or Vashi. I dont mind, how much I need to waste my energy on a small amount but the rights of consumer should be safeguarded.

Yatra.com — Non-Refund of Airfare

I had booked through the Travel Portal Yatra.com a flight ticket from Chennai to Coimbatore in October 2010 to travel to Coimbatore on[protected] paying Rs.2182-62 by credit card.The Yatra Reference Number for that booking was [protected]. When I reached the airport on[protected], I found to my horror that there is no such flight on that date. The Yatra did not advise me regarding this advance. I am a busy Cardiac surgeon in Madurai and I was supposed to chair a session in an important conference of Cardiac surgeons at G.K.N.M. Hospital, Coimbatore on that day. I could not make it in time for the conference. After reaching Madurai, I made an e-mail request to Yatra to refund the amount as there was no flight on that date. They responded and informed their booking number for this request as 5459695. I reminded again after a week and on [protected] they asked me to send a scanned copy of the flight ticket . I sent a scanned copy of the flight ticket endorsed by the Duty Manager of Chennai Airport on[protected].On[protected] they sent an email informing me that they have not received a hard copy of the ticket and they would process the refund once they receive a hard copy. I sent a hard copy of the ticket by courier on[protected] by Professional couriers and it has been delivered to them on 5-1-2011 at 14-40 hrs with signature. Till date I have not heard anything from the Yatra.

I am put to lot of mental strain because I could not keep up my commitment to cahir a session in the conference on the accepted time and date. Further I am being tossed from pillar to post for getting my legally eligible refund. I request the learned Forum to look into this gross deficiency in service by the Yatra.Com and also understand the mental anguish I had to undergo and order for immediate refund of the amount plus interest till date of refund in addition to any acceptable compensation for the deficiency of service as you deem fit.

Yatra.com — Deliberate Ticket Cancellation

I booked 2 tickets from yatra.com.

I cancelled one ticket due to some reason and again booked one more ticket(for my father).
One day before the flight I was looking for web checkin , I found ticket status for my father's ticket was confirmed and for my own ticket was unconfirmed.So I called yatra.com, and guess what , these worst service providers told me that my ticket has been cancelled due to some technical fault.

They told me this just a night before flight , that too when I called them.
I was forced to cancel my father's ticket as well since he can't travel alone.

All this was yatra's mistake , not mine and these worst service provider charged me around 2000 rs for the cancellation.
I doubt , this is their real buisness to charge people for their own mistakes.

Please don't go for yatra.com , their service is the most PATHETIC and RIDICULOUS.

Yatra.com — Waiting for my refund for the last 3 months

I am facing lot of difficulty in getting my refund from Yatra.com for a failed transaction. Yatra.com support is fustrating and very irresponsive, I am extremely disappointed with there service. I will not recommend yatra to anyone, you need to undergo lot of hassle to get your money back for any failed transaction.

Below are the details

1) I tried booking online rail tour package from Yatra on Nov 23, 2010
2) The transaction failed due to server error, however a amount of Rs. 9450 got debitted from my bank account
3) I have been following up with the for 3 months for a refund, still I haven't receive my money back


What upset's me the most

1) Yatra.com internal processes are not organized - every time I write a mail to them, they will ask for all the details inspite of providing them my previous customer interaction number. I have sent my bank statement to them 8 times now and have written more than 10 mails. Yatra.com has pathetic process in place

2) When we call up the call center - we need to wait on the phone for a long time. One of my calls, I waited for 20 mins before I hug up my phone. The call center support is very irresponsive if you ask me

3) They don't reply to the mails. I have sent more than 10 mails, and I am yet waiting for a response on when I will receive my refund back.


Overall, it's the worst site - don't ever book from yatra.com. If everything goes fine you are safe, if the transaction fails, then forget your money. You have to undergo all the harrassment.

i have booked a train ticket through online from yatra.com on 12/02/2011 but due to some reason i have cancelled it on the same day and also got the message from yatra.com that the booking has been cancelled and money has been refunded when i checked my a/c after 7 days the money was NOT refunded.

please look into this matter.

Yatra.com — Cancellation amount is not getting refunded

I booked flight from Blr-Del-Blr, Yatra reference No : [protected], [protected]
I used promotional codes to get some discount.
Then i cancelled the flight & got Cancellation Confirmation page with Refunded Amount mentioned.

Now i got mail that i wont get amount refunded as per policy that flight booked with promo codes are non-refundable.
But i booked 'Refundable' flights & promo code mail has T&C where nowher ist mentioned its Non-Refundable.

Yatra.com — Inappropriate behaviour/ false promises

I traveled to Andaman with Yatra recently and would strongly condemn it especially for all female travelers. Not only did they make false promise to provide me free airport lounge pass one way also flipped the entire itinerary on the last day.

Thats that, what made the situation worsen was the tour guide. As single female traveler, I am very aware and conscious of how and where I travel and that was a reason I chose to travel in a group to Andaman. Guide/agent named VK Vinay Kumar not only behaved inappropriately and insisted for me to go on a ride with him but also blackmailed saying he has the boarding passes for my return flight and would not give those to me if I didn't agree. I kept mum and just wanted to be back home, I complaint to my sales agent and all I got to hear was "please leave your comment on our website". On asking for his managers contact info, I was told to drop an email.

It's was my first time travel with Yatra group and what a sheer disappointment it was, India is far from developed for female travelers and companies like Yatra simply dupe people to make sales and cheat them with their sheer unprofessional and indifferent attitude after package is sold.
