[Resolved]  ZEN — Faulty mobile handset

I had bought a Zen P34 mobile phone from Home Shop18, the phone was not getting charged from the day 1. Even after trying a couple of times the didnt get charged. After a couple of calls i got the Zen companys cutomer care number from Home Shop18. After calling the customer care i got an address of their service center in Fort, the customer care rep didnt provide any complaint ID, he told there is no such thing as complaint ID. I submitted the phone with the service provider, at every visit i got an answer that it would be repaired within couple of days. Initially they said it had an issue with its IC, they have ordered it from Pune, will take time, after couple of days was told that they would send the phone to Pune for repairing. Later on after some days was informed that it has a battery problem and they have oredered a new battery. Within this dilemma i spoke with Home Shop 18 customer care and the complain department and they just asked me to wait and watch, the complain department strictly stated that they are just responsible for its sale and not if the handset has any issues. I would have to deal with the company and their service centres. Finally i got the handset after 25 days stating that the battery had a problem and they have replaced it. The battery had a minimal charge and they showed the icon on the handset fluctuating while in charging mode. As soon as i reached home i put it into the charging mode, after couple of hours i unplugged the charger and to my surprise the problem still existed, the battery was not getting charged. I tried charging with another charger but still the battery was not being charged. Since then i have made n number of calls to Home Shop 18 and every rep asks me to wait for come days and they never get back with aresolution. 3 complaints so far but all in vain. Am being asked to wait. Last rep (call of 01/10/2013) told me that it would have been replaced if the complaint would have been done within 48 hours of receipt of the product. They have cheated me on a new product itself and are blaming it on the Zen Company.
