We received a message from Country Holidays Inn & Suites(CHIS) stating that we have won 2N/3D stay, 2 movie tickets and dinner vouchers. To claim this, we had to visit their office in MGF metropolitan mall, Gurugram. Initially we ignored this, but then we got multiple calls from them saying it'll take just 45 minutes and requested us to visit their office. Anyways we had to visit Gurugram on Sunday for meeting some friends, so planned to visit CHIS office as well while returning. We reached there at approx. 8 p.m on 24th Feb, 2019. While we were waiting on reception, their receptionist clicked our family pic on her phone. when we inquired, she told it's just a formality for records. Then we were directed to a room. The small room had 6-7 tables, 9-10 executives, some sitting some roaming around. Their manager J.P Yadav was roaming continuously. Music was so loud that we felt puzzled. we requested their executive Harish(who was attending us) to lower down the volume, but he said they've intentionally kept the music loud so that no one can hear what's happening on another tables. I said, I can't bear the loud sound and my head started aching. I wanted to leave but they humbly insisted to stay and served us Coffee which we obviously didn't deny as we were puzzled by the loud music and felt the need of it. After drinking that, Harish kept talking about very general things like family background, kids, our choices etc...may be he was waiting for the effect of coffee which was drugged to diminish our thinking capacity. We had two small kids with us, who started becoming restless by then. when I requested to take the leave for few minutes to take the kids outside, they said “No Ma’am, not allowed. cameras are there and we are not allowed to let the client move out of room. we will take care of your kids.” I still don’t understand how I agreed to each and everything they said like a kid…..may be because of that intoxicated coffee and environment effect. Meanwhile, Harish kept speaking something which I barely remember. I just remember that whatever he was saying, we were just agreeing to it. I went to the reception to take my son’s milk bottle, their 3 executives came from the room and started panicking me….”Ma’am please come inside soon, sir is calling u”, while I asked my husband afterwards, he told me that he didn’t call me. The whole drama continued for more than 2 hours. They didn’t even let us leave for washroom. At 10:15 pm, kids became super restless out of hunger….and this is the time they were waiting for. We said we need time to think about membership and stood up to leave. But their manager JP Yadav came and insisted to wait and know the EMI options. J. P Yadav took my husband’s AMEX card to check the EMI options. Meanwhile, we managed to engage our kids with our phones. A lady executive came and took my 2 years old son(who was holding my husband’s phone) to another table pretending to soothe him. Here, Harish asked us to fill the basic details on a form and sign some papers as a basic formality. our thinking level was so much diminished that we didn’t read anything and signed. After coming home, at 12:30 am (same night), we somehow regained some senses, checked our mobile phones. Then my husband realised that a payment of Rs. 1, 50, 000 has been done from his AMEX credit card. Whole story was clear….probably, That lady executive intentionally took my son to another table and smartly took the AMEX payment OTP from the phone. we realised the forgery and immediately filed the online complaint to Haryana police, sent a mail to CHIS requesting them to return the amount, but CHIS customer care replied that we have taken their membership and signed the papers which state that amount in non-refundable. Police says it’s a consumer court case. Their manager J P yadav threatened us and said fee is non refundable...you can do whatever u want. Our hard earned money has been looted so easily and we are feeling helpless. Please help us to get our hard earned money back and stop this fraud company from looting the other people. We are also not getting any response from CHIS. Instead, they r forcing to mark the complaint as resolved everywhere. When we insisted to clear the dues first, they stopped responding.
I'm mailing you my personal no. Let's talk and plan the further legal action.
