Delhi Police — complaining about no action despite repetitive crimes at one particular site.
Im a resident of sector 24 rohini. 3 days ago at 8:45 p. M i was on my way to home when 3 people on bike snatched my phone. Though it was a case of snatching but the asi's who registered my complaint put it as stolen (Since they convinced me its an easier way to get my phone back) They strictly told me to not pick any call i receive from other police officers right after i dialed 100. Now im not here to ask for my phone back, i know police here isnt capable of finding a phone unless it belongs to a minister. What i wanna address here is, There has been more than 10 cases of phone, chain snatching in past 1 month in my society alone (Not even considering dozens of societies in sec - 24) in one case my neighbour was attacked by knife n he still cant go to work due to his injuries. One thing common in all of these attacks were that they happened with 100 metre radius from sec - 24 wineshop. Why is it that despite dozens of complaints (From only 1 out of several societies) no action has been taken by the police to ensure our safety?! No cctv cameras were installed or even a police car should be there 24/7 to ensure such incidents do not take place. But no action was taken by your department. These chain snatchers are mostly 3 people on bike riding without helmets. If only traffic police even did their job properly such incidents could have been stopped. Similarily, its illegal to place black covering on car windows but i've seen hundreds of cars in n around my locality as such. (Most of them park it around wineshop n drink in it, another illegal activity) While, such cars are also mostly used by rapists to kidnap a woman n give way to sexual assaults. It must be a shame to run a department where common people have to tell you how to run it, isnt it?! (Im pretty sure you still wont acknowledge these facts n continue to drive this great city into the hands of criminals, risking the safety of its very own citizens with whom hard earned taxes you get your salary from) Was this information helpful?
