Express code-[protected] service tag-4qqsqh2 i purchased the laptop in october 2017, around mid november my laptops base burnt along with my mattress. I complaint to dell and the representative was nice enough to help me out and schedule a repair at my home.in 3-4 days i got my heat sink, 2 fans and the base changed. The repair was done poorly and the fan stopped working within an hour. I scheduled for another repair and the same representative helped me out nicely. This time the parts were out of stock though and it took 10-12 days for repair. The second engineer did a pretty good job and replaced another heatsink and 2 fans. He also fixed some of the bad repair done by the earlier engineer. (Broken touchpad, open display hinge, badly aligned base). Same evening i noticed my laptop boiling underneath while playing games. I downloaded hwm monitor to check my real time temperatures and i saw my cpu temperatures for all cores were around 100 degree to 105 degree celsius. I contacted dell about this and they told me to run dell diagnostics and send a picture of temperature screen. There, the temperatures were - current -85, high -90. This is because my cooling system is very efficient and it handles the overheated processor quickly after i take the load off my processor. The new dell representative was very arrogant and told me that they cannot do anything about it because the only hard proof of temperature they consider is the diagnostics one, which by the time i restart my pc, do the full test (5-7 minutes) it already cools off.
