Dell India — Dell: Defective Vostro Laptop and Worst Refund Process | |
25th October 2020- Ordered a Dell Vostro Laptop via Dell India Website. 31st Oct 2020 - Laptop was received by Courier 9th Nov 2020 - Informed Dell that all the Diagnostic tests were ok. But still there is no sound via speaker and headset even during epsa test. Dell confirmed that Motherboard needs to be replaced. 10th Nov 2020 - I have clearly informed the Dell team that I need complete refund as the laptop supplied is defective. Replacement is not an option and this will require a lot of time as per Dell policy. The technical team says contact customer care for refund, while customer care team says contact technical team. Had to spend a lot of time on coordination between the various Dell teams. 12th Nov 2020 - Dell finally confirmed that refund will be processed. 28th Nov 2020 – Laptop collected by Courier 8th Jan 2021: After a lot of follow-up, final refund received after almost 2 months Poor Quality – No proper check of the Laptop, before dispatch to the Customer. Worst Customer Service. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on the phone. You will be transferred to some many teams such a Technical Support, Customer Care, etc. No direct contact number will be provided. You will not receive response to your emails.
