Dell India — Dell Laptop Speakers faulty | |||||
I purchased a Dell Inspiron Laptop on March 12th 2017 (Service Tag Number 705J0F2) which was delivered on March 20th 2017. From the onset there was no sound coming from the laptop (the normal system sounds). We tried to find out ways on trouble shooting the problem and unfortunately there was nothing we could do from our end. We reached out to Dell customer care and after an analysis they said that the speakers are faulty and they cannot replace them even within warranty period as the software that were installed as a part of our project has damaged the speakers. There was one software that was installed, that was also after 15 days from the date the machine started working. They are taking this ground for denying replacement of the faulty machine. When asked how they are determining that this software destroyed their hardware, they simply said that as per Dell policy they cannot replace. Was this information helpful? | |||||
