Gave my dell laptop (Inspiron n5110) for the repair at dell service center, tilak road, pune on 14th december, 2016 (Dsp reference no:- 'enq/dgpune - 2/16-17/0004261-p', service tag:- dbdfnp1).
Before that, about 6-7 months back; i gave the laptop to fix wifi issue and battery replacement to some outside service center. Laptop worked properly for about one months, but could not started. So, i gave it to same outside service center to fix the issue. They checked and said it is because of reverse current and need to replace one ic which will cost around rs. 2500/-. I refused to give it and decided to give it to authorized dell service center. And submitted to dell service center, tilak road, pune on 14th december, 2016 as i mentioned above.
While submitting, i explicitly mentioned above story to them and expected the best service. But they took about 22 days to give it to me back and said laptop is dead and can't be repaired. I shocked by hearing that as outside service center engineer said to just replace an ic to start it back and dell engineers are saying it is dead. Also, they haven't gave me any report or receipt of the case. When i asked, they said they will send it via email, but i don't get it it it. Fortunately, i took photos of the report. Pfa for the same.
So, i gave my laptop back to the outside service center, where i gave previously. When they opened the laptop again in front of me, we found that motherboard is replaced with the tempered one. The outside engineer said, it is not the same which he worked previously as he made some mark using marker on it. And i also saw that the motherboard was so tempered that buslines and ics were missing. Also, laptop was working for about a month properly after wifi fix at the outside service center. And the tempered motherboard is so bad that it can't even start the laptop or blink any light indicator. So motherboard was changed at dell service center only.
When i visited dell service center again, they said we haven't done anything, laptop was outside opened, we don't accept outside opened laptops.
But they couldn't answered below questions:
1) as i told explicitly at the time of submitting laptop that previously i repaired it outside, why you accepted it?
2) if it is outside opened and tempered motherboard installed by outside service center, how it worked perfectly fine for a month.
3) if it is outside opened, why you took about 22 days to investigate. Normal human can easily see tempered motherboard if you just remove keyboard.
4) why you didn't send/give me the report/receipt/document related to my case.
After discussing this issue with many people over the year. I found many people which got such kind of service from the only authorized dell service center in tilak road, pune.
Hoping for the resolution and action against the dell service center.
