Dell India — Problem with laptop battery which is under warranty | |||||
I Have 1 dell inspiron 3542 laptop. some days back I noticed that it was not charging & the battery indicator shows battery not detected. when I phoned dell support at 7 pm on 9th april 2017 I was asked to contact in their working hours which was told by them to be between 9 am to 6 pm. next day i.e. on 10/04/2017 I contacted them with my complain no.[protected] & deputed one technical persons also to understand their instructions . According to them there was some problem in charging port. However after doing some juggling with bios etc. as per their instructions, finally the battery was detected & it began to charge. Now since My laptop is under warranty I want full time solution but was surprised to find 1 invoice from their sales division amounting to Rs.5000/= . On protesting I was told that since the battery is not completely down but the port is loose it is not covered under warranty which is beyond my imagination. Since my warranty is set to expire in this month itself I am feeling helpless & anguished over such unethical practices adopted by a reputed co. like dell india.
