On 3rd sep 2018, at about 8.45 am, i booked ticket on www.cleatrip.com website for ticket from mumbai to banglore one way for 1 person and return ticket for 1 person. Website fare was showing 1798/- (Inclusive of convenience charges). They charged for one way rs. 2317/- and 4932/- for return ticket. I. E they charged rs. 6249/- instead of 5394/-. Thus extra amount of 854/- was charged. On contacting, ms. Aarti from cleartrip told me that they have charged rs. 548/- towards insurance charges and 680/- towards convenience charges. I told them that i had not selected insurance charges. But she told me that you should have deselected it. By default it is always checked box and i need to deselect it. Then for convenience charges she told me that at the moment of booking of ticket, prices might have been increased so that you may have been charged extra. I had discussion with her for over one hour. After one hour when i took screen shot, even than prices were 1708/- so no logic for charging this amount extra. Also, at the time of booking ticket during business hours, one is expected to give attention to booking of ticket and selecting any thing extra if required like meal, extra legroom etc. And not on deselecting any such boxes which they check it by default.
