[Resolved] DishTV — complaint about change in pack and removal of channels without intimation | |||
My dishtv pack got modified automatically overnight on 27/07/2020 and many channels and packs were removed from the ones which i selected. Every now and then within 5-6 months dishtv keeps changing the packs and removing the essential channels which viewers have subscribed to. On 28/07/2020 morning when i switched on the tv, my favorites list was vanished, so in doubt that channel nos. Might have changed, i checked all channels and found out that many channels got removed. So i checked my existing pack and found that complete pack was removed from the subscription. With many efforts i reached customer care regarding the same, they told that the change has been made by me through application. Even though when i haven't used the application for making any changes. Then when i caught their lie, they started saying that its zone wise and you need to change your alignment to south zone to get those channels (The channels which i am talking about is sony mix, mastii, vtv gujarati, paras gold). I dont understand what south people will do watching vtv gujarati in their zone. Few gujaratis leaving there might subscribe, otherwise they will get viewership mostly in gujarat state for vtv gujarati channel, but this idiotic dishtv people transferred it to south zone and were advicing me to change my zone for one channle. I refused to do so because its their tactics to move customer to different zone and get subscribed to useless channels which user do not want to see or its not useful to them anyways which are in different languages. What they actually did or keep doing is they removed the pack bst hsm news and only kept bst north pack and fta packs which also doesn't consists the fta channels listed above. Even though trai keeps saying that customer is in control of each and every channels they wanted to view, dth operators keep doing changed and removing channels on their own and also not giving the channels pack even though its subscribed. My channels and packs got modified and many channels got removed which we were watching. This is the second time in a year when packs and channels gets modified automatically in the backend and channels got removed from the pack and also not showing in any of the list. Please see the attached screenshot with marking, may be you will get idea. Even if you want the videos and previous pack details and current pack details and modified pack details, i have everything and i keep eveything documented to raise such issues in future. Because i know such companies doing their own things, which troubles the customers.in case of any more details and proof needed, please feel free to contact me. First of all, i would like to raise this complaint to trai, ibf and bccc that dth operator like dishtv is removing channels on their own and they do not have any right to do so. They need to provide each and every channel which is broadcasted, customer is the one who decides which channel to subscribe and which to not. Dishtv can't decide which channel customer should watch and which channel they wanted us to watch and subscribe. I would like dishtv to provide all the channels broadcasted by the channel broadcaster in one list and let customers decide the channels they wanted to subscribe. Only one list of fta channels should be there rather than making categories like news, music, regional, dd, etc. Customers are knowledgeable sufficiently to decide the channels on their own. If not resolved, it would make difference for customers like me, my subscription is getting over on 23/10/2020, after that i will close my connection. Because i do not let anyone choose what i wanted to watch. Before dishtv, videocon dth did same kind of thing and we changed them overnight to dishtv. Now i think crows are black everywhere. I will change to operator once again without any hesitation after my subscription if i am not getting every channel on the list. I hope dishtv would not get affected with one customer's loss. Afterall its a big big company with a share price of rs. 7 which will soon go to 0 due to such losses. Dont worry. +1 videos Was this information helpful? | |||
