Drivezy — Broken car given on Rental
On 7th Feb, 2021 I have rented a Tata Tiago car from Drivezy KalyanNagar branch.
While driving the car was making some sounds to which we couldnt understand.
But while crossing the Nelamangala Toll felt something wrong, I drove car towards service road and suddenly felt like very loud and weird sound was coming, so stopped the car immediately and felt car bent towards Front right. Thought it was punctured but after getting down we realised how lucky we were,
The wheel was standing on only 1 Bolt, remaining three were missing.
Immediately called Drivezy and they were very casual about it and said they cannot offer alternative car as they were all booked for the day.
Upon pressing, how serious the issue is they asked us to get it repaired and they will reimburse.
So, whole day we were standing on Highway, called some mechanic on a Sunday, which was tough job to find someone on Sunday.
Finally the car repair was done around 4 PM, for which we had to cancel our entire trip and informed we want to return the vehicle as it is all gone in vain for us.
They promised to refund both booking amount and the repair amount. Booking amount was 2980 and repair itself costed 2440.
Drivezy refunded 2300 saying they are charging 600 for KM I drove, which is absurd but I let it go.
Its been almost 3 weeks, they haven't refunded the amount they promised for repairs.
2440 is not a small amount but yes if I had minute late on the car, our family would have been involved in a big accident and God knows what could have happened.
Now Drivezy is not even responding to my messages, so I feel like I need to take this legal.
Kindly, help me with the reimbursement of the amount I spent. I am not even asking for any extra, for all that matter we are thankful to be alive.
