[Resolved] EaseMyTrip.com — refund for flight ticket during covid 19 lockdown time | |||
I had a qatar airlines ticket from bangalore to budapest, which was booked through easemytrip (Travel date 18th march 2020). On 16th march, government of india announced that indian citizens cannot travel to hungary. There was a general travel ban issued to all eu countries by the indian government. Hence there was no way i could travel with this ticket. I called easemytrip to find out the rules regarding cancellation on 14th march itself (To be on the safer side). I had also checked with qatar airways and was told that i will be getting full refund in the form of travel vouchers which will be issued by the travel agent. After both of them confirming that i will get a full refund, when i requested for cancellation and full refund, both of them were passing the buck to each other. The airline is saying that since i paid the money to travel agent, i should claim the refund from them and travel agent says that they are helpless and following the orders of the airlines. Presently there is no response either from the airlines or the travel agent.
