I purchased a laptop battery with ebay guarantee. I returned the battery as the back up was no more than 90 minutes, which does not suit my purpose. The claim was opened on 05/Jul/2014. The refund was agreed by ebay on 15/Jul/2014, but has not been paid yet. Claim Id is 556376 They have 15 days (working days) period to process the DD. This period has passed and there is no action taken on follow ups using chat. They have a mechanism of escalation through phone call. But you would not be able to get through the IVR to the customer service representative, let alone go to escalations.
I had not expected such laxity from ebay. I had a very good experience with other companies for occasional refund, and hence I was sure online purchasing is safe.
