Electrolux — Washing machine out of order during warranty period | |||
Washing Machine Model Elita ET 60EGGL purchased on 3rd Jan-15 with a warranty period of 2 years. Machine got down on 23rd Nov-2-16 and put the complaint with Electrolux int he last week of Nov-16. Service person visited twice or thrice during Nov & Dec, 16 but the visits were in vein. Mean time one person informed that to change the base of the chamber by paying Rs.3800/- approximately so that the machine can be set right, which we refused since the machine was under warranty till 3rd Jan-17. Since then we are following up with Electrolux every week, just to get some vague reply from their Service personal. For the last two months we are hearing from them that they are very much regretted and is going to replace our machine shortly. But now we annoyed to hear that they are ready to replace the machine only if we pay them depreciation of around Rs.3800/-, which we naturally refused to accept. Since the machine was purchased for the use of the only residents of two old aged couples of above 70 years to meet their day to day lively activities, and could not serve the purpose but cheated repeatedly by wrong commitments by Electrolux, we herewith put our claim for Rs.1, 00, 000/- being the labor cost and mental stress incurred for washing the clothes as well as the breach of contract by a trusted organisations like Electrolux.
