On 19 oct 2018, i contacted ethos[protected] regarding a longines watch. Was offered a price, which i agreed to. I was told there is only one watch available at their pune store. I will need to make full payment and then they will send the watch to my address. I said i need to see it physically before buying (What if there is any damage, etc.?). I was told to make 20k as advance and book the watch. It would be sent to their bengaluru store and i could go there and have a look and make the purchase. I contended that since it is being sent to their own store, i need not pay advance. I am prepared to visit the store (With full amount) within 2 hours of being informed of availability and take my decision. The lady got back saying that is acceptable, but is not practical since their sale gets over in 3 days and it will not be possible to ship it within the 2 days on account of a sunday on 20th. I said send me an email regarding cancellation policy, refund policy and warranty. I will make the 20k advance payment online and book it. I was told email will be sent in 5 minutes. No email was sent, but after half an hour, i was told the watch is sold! So, do i want another model?! I went to bengaluru store on 20th and was told there is one piece available at pune.
