Exide Industries — charges regarding faulty battery replacement which is under warranty

I purchased exide mileage battery s/no a3e8g519956 from exide dealer automobile (Addr: 113, raja s. C. Mullick road, kolkata - 700032) on 1st july 2018. The battery is faulty and is not taking any charge. When i called up the dealer abhishek, he said that he will send someone to fetch the battery. I gave him my address and told him to send someone since this is an emergency. The guy who was supposed to come for collecting the battery calls up an hour later that he will come but will charge rs300 and there will be a separate charge for replacing the battery. According to the dealer, there is a separate processing fee of rs400 for replacing a faulty battery which is already under warranty. Not even a year has passed by. Can you please explain why am i being charged when my battery is still under warranty period?
