Hi there
I would like o bring to your notice that i purchased a carrier 1 ton ac about 2 weeks back and the product was delivered promptly by flipkart but the installation of the product was pathetic. I had been waiting for the jeeves person to call me for installation since 2 days and then i escalated the matter to customer care then a person from jeeves called and fixed an appointment on thursday evening for installation, two technicians came to my home and they suggested that copper cable (Extra) need to be purchased and since they didnt have at hand they had to make another trip to my home next day and then will do the installation. I wasted about 3 hours on thursday.
On friday they were supposed to be at my home around 10.00 am but they came after my repeated follow up over phone with the technicians and they had looked at my out door unit location and said that there is no need for cables and started the work.
But the kind of expertise that was shown by these technicians were abysmal. They didnt have proper knowledge on where to drill the walls and outlet pipe was left in side the house and neither they had any clue of working of ac.
They had damaged my wall to the extend that a hole was drilled in the pipeline where the electrical cable goes through and i have now extra burden to fix that.
The ac was able not giving the proper cooling effect because of the gas leakage.
So after installation on friday which took about 1 full day for me to stay with them (Wasted about 5 hours) then the technicians had come back on monday to look at the problems and told me that there is no problem with the installation and it was the ac which had to be replaced.
I had requested flipkart customer support to initiate a return / replace then, carrier technician came by and suggested that the gas in the unit has leaked to a large extend and that requires refilling and he suggested that technicians have not done proper installation.
The outlet was left inside the house and when i used the ac the whole floor was flooded and it became a nuisance for me to clean it up.
I had paid 1500 rs for the installation and lot of mental stress for me to go through in this 2 weeks because of a unprofessional technicians and more over the experience with flipkart has taken a beating now. I would like to let you know that i am disappointed with the customer care executives who seems to be talking only a routine litany of sorry and understand the problem but none has a solution to offer.
I would think that new unit which comes in the next few days will be fixed properly and i am hoping that flipkart will maintain the standards when it comes to post sales support.
